Scientist Builds Working Time Machine

George Pal’s The Time Machine

What person hasn’t dreamed at least once of returning briefly to a favorite era in the past or seeing a real glimpse of a fantastic future hundreds, even thousands of years from today?

Despite a spate of articles claiming that travel to the past is flatly impossible, physicists like Stephen Hawking and others say it’s not.

And now an engineer named Vadim Alexandrovich Chernobrov claims to have accomplished what others say cannot be done—he’s built a working time machine.

At least that is his claim. And he says he’s tested it and it works. But there are some limitations with its capabilities.

Vadim Alexandrovich Chernobrov

Potential dangers

Chernobrov cautions about potential dangers. “Those who attempt to return to the past to keep certain historical events from occurring—for example, the collapse of the Soviet Union—would fail in the attempt and would run the risk of not being able to return to the future.”

The engineer’s amazing time machine is a metal sphere that looks much like some of the early Soviet and American satellite spacecraft. Outside it has a diameter of two meters and inside is housed a meter wide space that can house a time-traveling chrononaut.

The device achieves travel through time, according to its inventor, by utilizing strong magnetic fields that resonate about the capsule and affect the natural flow of time and causality by literally increasing or slowing the flow of time.

During experiments, Chernobrov has shown that very precise chronometers, synchronized before the field is energized, experience a significant divergence in time after one has been placed inside the time machine while the other is kept far from the energized field as a control.

The chronometers revealed time is definitely warped within the machine’s magnetic fields.

Early schematic of time machine

First time machine made at Moscow Aircraft University

According to an article translated by Lena Ksandinova, “the first Russian time machine was constructed by the scientists of Moscow Aircraft University.

Chernobrov at Moscow Aircraft University

“To understand, how the machine impacts live creatures, Vadim Chernobrov, an experiment administrator, put cockroaches inside. The insects died. They modernized the machine and put mice inside. The effect on them was the same. Scientists realized what the cause of death was: on different parts of the body time ran with a different speed. They fixed the machine once again and put a puppy called ‘Lunar Rover’ inside. He was inside for 108 minutes. The puppy survived, but behaved like he was having rabies.

“Then experiments on people came. Nine scientists, among which was Chernobrov, took part in it. Instruments inside the machine recorded a 3 percent time shift, and changes in machine size. Experiment participants, however, felt nothing but moderate arrhythmia and colored circles in eyes.”

The experiment with people was the most dangerous. Some scientists familiar with the experiment condemned it as reckless.

“We came to conclusion that time is 3–dimensional,” explained Chernobrov. “So in fact we can move in time backwards and forwards.”

Details on larger model

As Ksandinova reported, a larger model of the time machine was built to carry humans. It was constructed in a remote forest in Russia’s Volgograd Region. While the device had a low power capacity it still affected the flow of time by three per cent; that temporal permutation was measured with symmetrical crystal oscillators.

Artist representation of time experiment

At first, the researchers spent periods of five, ten and later, twenty minutes in the field of the time machine; the longest stay recorded lasted about half an hour. Chernobrov reported the volunteers felt as if they had shifted into a different world: “they felt life here and there at the same time as if some space was unfolding.”

Is time being manipulated?

If time travel has, does or ever will exist then by its very nature time travel always exists. “What is troubling is that we have no way of knowing that they aren’t already doing it. For those of us in the daily stream of world events, a shift in history might wipe out thousands of people and change entire governments. But for us, the change would go into our memory of events as they happened during our lives. That good friend we went bowling with last night might disappear before the next morning and we would not notice his loss. By the time we awake, the person never existed.” [Link]

Notes from a pioneer

In his notes on the early time machine experiments, Chernobrov wrote:

In experiments on deceleration and acceleration of a physical Time in small closed volume conducted since 1988,  among other things the effect electromagnetic of fields on space-time continuum was checked.

The experimental system for such effect represented set of electromagnets, are connected among  themselves in serial and in parallel and installed on the globe-shaped surfaces. In various experiments from 3 up to 5 such surfaces,  Electromagnetic Working Surfaces (EWS) was used.  All EWS  layers of  various diameters were installed consistently in each other.

The maximum EWS size was about meter, the minimum EWS diameter (internal) was equal to  115 mm, that has appeared sufficient to place inside of EWS  the gauges of the control and  experimental  animals (various kinds insect and laboratory mouses), to  investigate the effects of converging spherical electromagnetic of waves.

      What time is it, anyway?

Time to cap executive salaries and force and end to this greed induced unemployment crisis.

Time to put the congress in jail for they are bought and paid for by the corporations.

The soul-less elite allow millions in this country to go hungry and worst.

It’s time to end this B.S.

lol, what a great article! I wouldn’t say it’s believable but it’s entertaining at least. You have to laugh at the the testing protocol – try with cockroach and if it fails then modernise the machine, next try some mice, then try a puppy(wtf!!) and if that survives at all go for human testing. Thank you for the interesting read!

Anonymous. I agree with the put cogress in jail part. But you cant cap corporate salaries. thats too much like communism. We need a truly free market economy and a government that is completely independent of that free market. No lobbyists. Just the will of the people…

I built a working time machine once – unfortunately, it only traveled forward in time, and only at a rate of 1 second per second…

sounds like he tapped into the effects that happen at the south pole the scientists discoverd and it was hushed up but lucky we have all the info in documents

Time is a measurement, not a physical (atomic) reality. The only thing that changed was the ability of the ‘clock’ to measure time correctly. Electromagnetism will certainly do that.

Reality is actually processes of events; not a gathering of ‘things’. In order to go backwards in time one would have to recreate all of the processes of events that existed at that moment in question. Even then it would not be the ‘same’ moment. At best it would be a replica or a parallel moment like a snapshot without life or content.

The future has not been processed as yet because events haven’t accumulated by those processes that are necessary for reality to take place.

Time machines, like unicorns, shall remain creations of our collective imaginations. The flow of water can be increased or decreased: Water is real ~ time is not.

The most we can attribute to time is that it is a measurement of decay.

I volunteer to go back ! I will go back to 1992, and I will actually study a hell of a lot more in high school & college this time. I will use smart family planning, and wear a dam condom. I will buy gold bars at 200 an oz, stop betting on the buffalo bills to win the superbowl, and life will be totally awesome.

In complete seriousness, I want to go back and change my childhood to the one I have always deserved. I may actually contact Chernobrov requesting to be part of his next test of the machine.

I’m sorry but if you kill off a cockraoch you don’t then try a bigger animal like a mouse and then if that still doen’t work try a puppy, where the hell was the prevention of crualty to animal society…
Anyway with that written off as a fail they then tried humans… what a load of BS…

Get a TV station and scientist of their choosing and then demonstrate it on live TV then I will believe it. I’m sure that if a live demonstration were to happen there would be some kind of technical problem or some other excuse. There have been time machines for over 50 years, it’s called an airplane. If you go east to west fast enough you go back in time, and west to east forward in time.

great ideas thats what i do all the time

First, I don’t think they are affecting time. the field is
screwing with the operation of a machine, the “chronometer”
or effectively, the clock. can you spell mechanical malfunction
      under electromagnetic influence?

The experience of the people in the device, would be consistent
with one or both of the following: derangement of their brains,
which are electromagnetic, by the same field that deranged the
clocks, and/or about to pop into some parallel universe or open
some doorway. But events in both realms would be parallel,
and their past and ours would remain PAST.

Second, if they ARE affecting time and could go back in time,
the potential for killing the innocent, is such that the whole
technology should be made illegal and everyone involved in it
      locked up for life.

Re : I volunteer to go back ! I will go back to 1992,

Great Idea and good thinking, but why not add, buy some cheap share in the best stocks.
and by all means possible, I would go and warn Nicola Tesla about what will happen to all his papers and notes the morning after he dies, (they were stolen by the US Army and the FBI),
Of course when I came back to 2011 the world would not be the same as it was when I left it.
As a matter of fact I might not even exist. so Then how could I even do it.

      Larry in Toronto.

Reminds me of that 80′s song by Cindi Lauper, where one of the lyrics goes. “I will be waiting, time after time”.

She was on to something, who knew?

If anyone ever made a time machine, that when back in time
it would be a matter of history.

And we might have heard or it by now

I remember it was in 1956 when there was circulating a joke in Finland that the Soviet scientists had succeeded to crossbreed the hedgehog and tapeworm. They got biological barbwire that then was produced in the Archipelago Gulag. However, the project was abandoned due to certain manufacturing problems and a too bad smell.

There is one kind of smell in this article also. Such news were coming from the late Soviet Union repeatedly that they had invented this and that wonderful that did not appear in reality. This does not mean that they had not invented anything real, but they seemed to think that they had made almost all important inventions and all they had invented, shoul have been taken seriously.

If a clock is confined inside a chamber under a vibrating or ‘resonating’ magnetic field and goes too fast or slowly or even backwards compared to a clock outside, it does not mean a change of time. It is only that clock inside that is going wrong.

I myself, a poor inventor and tinkerer, did experiments with a resonating magnetic field and a clock. Several times, I put my clock near the vibrating magnet, without any airtight chamber, to see its effect. Every time, the clock began to go very fast, the minute hand running much faster than the second hand normally. Additionally, I got the clock to go even backwards and later, when my old clock stopped and refused to go although I changed the battery, I forced it to go again with the same magnet. Even now, it is going.

With the magnet, I also treated several times my aching hip that I strained badly last fall, by sitting on the magnet when it was humming. It helped but later, I noticed that my sight had dimmed observably. So, I stopped the treatment and my sight returned to normal.

In spite of what I have observed, I have never thought for a second that the time itself had changed except in its normal way. I never believe that it can be accelerated or slowed down by human means, except maybe for very short splits of second in a very limited environment. God does not and will not allow such an ability for the fallen and renegade humankind. It would mean an ultimate, cosmic disaster.

What the fallen angels or ‘aliens’ with their UFOs may have showed people concerning the ‘time travelling’, it is only an illusion, misleading spiritual movies with their hallucinations. They are preparing the last great delusion as predicted in the Bible, so that the whole mankind would be sifted.

Here we go again another modern-day mad genius claims he has invented a partially working time machine. OK, first off, time travel in relation to quantum physics is an impossibility for you have to first stop time first in order to travel through it. The vibrating quartz crystal time deflection theory is no biggie. However, stopping the complete vibration causing the internal set frequency to fail would be the first step in conquering the time barrier.

      H. G. Wells thought traveling through time would be the ultimate achievement, so he wrote The Time Machine. Mr. Wells envisioned this future science concept as a way of getting in touch with his past. Especially, after experiencing many tragic personal events as a youth. If you ever get the chance to see George pal’s version of the time machine I suggest you see it. This is a very cool sixties flick with a story that is well written indeed.

According to the movie script a misunderstood brilliant scientist named George using a revolutionary form of portable electrical power unheard of in the 1800s or even in the early 1900s, builts a working time device which utilizes a parabolic radioactive spinning wheel of sorts to focus its quantum energy on the fourth dimension. It was wisely painted with many beautiful Oriental designs to cover-up all different types of metals containing some nuclear properties that would represent spinning this earth in an opposite direction.

Note: I remember watching the very first superman movie in 1979 and in that version right at the end there was a sequence addressing time travel itself. The Man of steel turned back the clock so to speak, by spinning this earth backwards thus saving Lois Lane after she had apparently died of suffocation after superman’s arch nemesis Lux Luther nuked the West Coast.

It’s an interesting concept indeed this traveling to the past or into the future to pick that winning lottery ticket number. However I believe our planetary physics in a general nonsensible sense is quite irreversible…

    • colossus

      i don’t think its possible
time travel happens every day all day, its just our grasp on what time really is.
the time scale of the universe is enormous, like billions and billions of years, but to us we live on a tiny section of that time scale and in theory it sometimes overlaps causing odd phenomenon, time travel may even be a natural occurrence in the universe but were a long way from discovering the real secrets behind this form of physics.
all it takes is some in depth study and a serious approach to the subject. like this guy is doing.

As a physical being time travel seems impossible……
Though we do not need our vehicles to travel the astrals. My entire family time travels in the sense that we will see what occurs before it occurs. Most of them are cryptic and represented by symbols like my gran (who is a devout catholic) who will dream of a wedding involving someone and within a week that person will die. Sounds far fetched yeah, but I care not what the clones think, we are incredible beings and everything is possible.

I was working with some really cool Japanese lads before the tsunami and was telling them about a dream I had of a massive wave crashing into Japan……they laughed and said nonsense…..they are no longer laughing. Poor Japan such a beautiful country and they have suffered so much.

      We are all seers.

      Absolute BS.
“Time” is simply a measure of relative particle motion.
It can be stopped/ slowed by reducing, or sped up by increasing heat energy such as using a freezer to slow the decaying of food or warmth to speed up chemical processes or plant growth.

    • Anonymous

I can vouch for the validity of this experiment. I had been doing similar work on my own, and review of Vadim Chernobrov’s work allowed me to tweak out the last few bugs from the system. The current prototype has a fairly low distortion factor, but I have hard-wired the direction to reverse, which should allow me to jump backwards in time a few minutes.

I’ll hit “post comment”, and then activate the device. I sure hope this goes better than the last run. Here goes!

If I could go back in time I would tell my deceased brother, mother, and father not to smoke, eat only fish, vegetables, fruit and breads and get lots of exercise. I would tell my brother not to get married. I would tell myself to save every penny I could and invest in Microsoft in the early 90′s. I would tell myself not to eat sweets and exercise. I’m not greedy, 100,000 to 250,000 would be plenty of money. Other than those things I wouldn’t change anything. I would try to find out who killed JFK, the secret about UFO’s, but not effect the outcome because of paradox.
