Sinister Tech Claims Life In Woman’s 15 Story Murder Drop – Cyberstalking Makes National Headlines
“There are cameras inside and outside the house.” These are the eerie words that appeared in a woman’s pocket that had just been thrown to her death off her 15th story balcony. Moments before this murder a video shows her being dragged back into her apartment by her fiancé and murdered.
Cyberstalking has now hit international headlines; but yet not everyone seems fully aware of what it means. Did you know that the suspected murderer in the Annapolis, Maryland, newspaper case had a long and dark history of cyberstalking that went on for years prior? His now-suspended Twitter feed illustrated hundreds of tweets about the lawyers and journalists that had ‘defamed’ him.
No matter the case, the motive of this abuse is always the same…control. How many of you know someone that posts their entire life on social media? Although they think they are only posting to family and friends they desire the highest amount of ‘likes’ they can get; a cryptic sort of life validation. Are they, however, simply increasing their odds of their image, their action or their information catching the attention of the wrong person. We have now seen how deadly your information in the wrong hands can become; let’s wake everyone up to this potential so we can start to end the cycle of violence associated with Cyberstalking.
