Bharatiya Janata Party may target Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav personally in Uttar Pradesh in the campaigns of Lok Sabha elections 2019.
The tagline for BJP’s election campaign is “Phir ek baar, Modi sarkar – Phir Modi ji ko banayen pradhan sewak,” which literally mean “Once more Modi government, Make Modi prime servant again.”
The social media is already playing major role weeks ahead of the elections and BJP has highlighted the allege corruption of Mayawati when she was the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. The party claims Mayawati was mentioned in Wikileaks cables by US diplomat as “dictatorial and corrupt.”
It is alleged the former chief minister used send aircraft to Mumbai to take the delivery of her new footware. The social media adds she used to get the roads washed before leaving home. She is being blamed to have used public money on statues and memorials.
The Amit Shah-led party has started targeting Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple too.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted that people in the state will cock a snook at the Bua-Bhatija alliance.
BJP is prepared to organize several rallies in Uttar Pradesh amid the seven phases of elections. Prime Minister Modi has been requested to address about two or three such rallies in each phase.
The first rally is learned to be in Meerut similar to what he had done in 2014 Lok Sabha elections and 2017 assembly polls.
