Only Paul Kimball will appreciate this: The other day I was listening to a raft of Bach’s Piano (Harpsichord) Concerto No. 1 in D minor [BWV 1052] on YouTube.
While there were quite a few delightful performances, I kept coming back to Glenn Gould’s immaculate (creative?) performance, the absolutely quintessential interpretation of the great Bach’s concerto.
Gould had many performances but here’s one to make my point:
This goes to what I’m suggesting here. That when one is looking for an interpretation of a UFO sighting (or report), one should seek out an inordinately accurate or definitive account.
And who are the proprietors of such accounts? Well, there are a few.
Since I mentioned Paul Kimball, it’s kind of sad that he isn’t immersed in the UFO phenomenon as he once was. His academic background (History), police work, and creative thinking make him a perfect interpreter of UFO sightings.
But we have Nick Redfern who takes a journalistic approach to UFO (and paranormal) accounts, and since he’s journalistic, his UFO writing isn’t marred by bias or wacky interpretations.
Kevin Randle, once beleaguered by an ET bias I think, now casts a new examining eye on UFO tales, especially those he worked diligently on for years, and provides new insights and data that he ferrets out from the UFO detritus that keeps popping up.
Jacques Vallee, despite the current wrong-headed tendency to dismiss his work, is a source for intelligent, unbiased thought about the phenomenon.
Rich Hall, often disregarded by many UFO buffs because he was Keyhoe-like in his seeming bias toward an ET explanation of UFOs, remains a source of rather accurate reporting of UFO events during his time here on Earth.
Jerome Clark, mostly an historian of UFO sightings is an objective reporter and listing agent of the phenomenon.
Well, you get my drift, I hope.
When you are looking for an accurate account of UFOs and valid interpretations of those accounts (sightings/reports), look for exemplars of accuracy and sane interpretations.
While the phenomenon is inscrutable, those reporting about them shouldn’t be.
