Evidently my ideas about the UFO phenomenon are very far from the classical approaches of the most orthodox ufology.
To begin with, I don’t think UFOs fly over our skies, or land in our fields or deserts the way most ufologists conceive. That is to say, that it being an entirely objectifiable phenomenon, 100% physical and three-dimensional. If this were true, which it is not, we would have to admit that the irruptions of flying saucers and their occupants all over the world is a kind of silent invasion.
Is it possible and statistically acceptable that an ordinary physical phenomenon, that is, spacecraft flying from here to there, are the cause of several thousands of sightings? of thousands of other UFO landings? Undoubtedly, mathematics and logic will tell us that it is impossible. It is very difficult to admit that alien ships or ships coming from other dimensions can burst into our universe in such quantity, causing visits to the smallest and most forgotten corners of our planet. Although, on the contrary, the evidence of the cases shows us that this happens independently that it can be logical or not.
But things would change radically if all this that we have labeled as a “UFO phenomenon” were actually the manifestation or visualization of an “expanded reality” (we could even use the term “other dimension”) to which we can only have access in certain accesses of consciousness, self-induced or externally induced by an indeterminate agent.
It is very curious and revealing to our study that almost all witnesses of anomalies (UFOs, Marian apparitions, fairies, ghosts, etc.) are in an altered state of consciousness. Coincidence? Evidently NO. Therefore, this fact must have greater transcendence than any other element shuffled to date by classical ufology to justify its extraterrestrial approaches.
UFOs seem to unfold between two opposing realities, physical and psychical; therefore, rather than a supernatural, metaphysical or incomprehensible aspect of the phenomenon, this is probably motivated by our involuntary/momentary immersion and borderline with an “expanded reality” with which we can interact, and which can sometimes manifest physically in our environment.
In this way we could explain why some of ufological events, apparently, leave traces and marks, and others do not. This could be the result, not of a mechanical and tangible effect of an extraterrestrial ship on the ground (because otherwise it would be the same in all cases), but rather it would be the result of a specific psychic conjunction, which on certain occasions allows this “psychic architecture” to take shape and interact with the environment.
Witnesses are witnessing glimpses of this unknown reality, which manifests itself partially within our ordinary universe, but it would really be an altered level of consciousness produced by our psyche, in conjunction with the so-called external agent.
The external agent is a psychic catalyst that allows access to this new reality, which in turn is highly moldable and permeable to our presence. And this is why the contents of this anomalous universe (to which the human being has been exposed for centuries under different labels), is adorned and sustained by a contemporary and synchronous “mise-en-scene” to the time of the manifested. It cannot be otherwise, since our psyche is the one that dictates (unconsciously) the content and development of these experiences, which prevents, among other things, that we have access to information unknown to humankind.
And it is that the individual psychic contents of the witnesses are those that grant that indisputable atmosphere of exclusivity to the UFO events, and that these, do not find connection with other incidents occurred in the world.
(Who else has seen the map of Betty Hill? The “military” alien observed by W. Laxton? Who else has tasted the pancakes offered to Simonton? Where else has Reverend Gill’s UFO been seen? Has anyone been attacked again by Robert Taylor’s spheres? Has the Flatwoods monster returned to visit another forest?)
The UFO paradigm is so malleable from one incident to another, that there is no other possibility but that our psyche is interfering in the observed phenomenon, transforming it and adapting it to the individual and non-transferable information of each witness. That is why I am convinced that UFOs do not come from anywhere, we do not see them coming from somewhere, but they are “invoked” by the witnesses themselves at the very moment they are tuned in by this mysterious external agent. And what is manifested before our eyes does not cease to be a cultural construction, built on the basis of human precepts that are put into play at the moment of contact. Its presence and existence is limited only to this process of creation and observation, and nothing recorded during a UFO incident has permanence in our universe. And so UFO events are reinitiated in practically every experience, demonstrating that human participation is the differentiating and primordial element of this type of event.
The language of expression of this paradigm is so close to those developed by psychological processes and the dream world that its analysis or dissection provokes as many questions as doubts. If we separate the individual psychic universe from each witness, the cultural context of the moment and other similar circumstances of the study of UFOs, our understanding of the enigma will always be partial, diffuse and erroneous, as has precisely happened to date, that many UFO incidents are catalogued as madness, aberrations or absurdities, when they really have the same characteristics and “evidences” as events considered reliable. Only an approach closer to the core of the problem, the human psyche, will allow us to get out of the labyrinth.
