Again, how the internet screws with our minds

My pal (I think) Christian Savia provided a link to a New Yorker article for his 3/2/19 weekend listings of interesting or important articles about things paranormal or just odd:
The Psychiatrist Who Believed People Could Tell the Future … Another emergent pattern, besides drowning the wealthy, is the resurgence in interest with feeling the future. You know, time loops. Sam Knight’s been bitten by this zeitgeist, following the investigations of the Society for Psychic Research’s John Barker, a curious incident concerning Aberfan, and his collection of compelling, anecdotal reports strongly suggesting presentiment isn’t a pipe dream.”
Here’s the link:
The piece appears in the March 4, 2019 issue of The New Yorker [Page 38 ff.]
Some Anomalist followers will click on the link and many will read the piece. However, others will skim the article, missing the many attendant details that offer readers a fascinating view of precognitive episodes and their evident reality.
Reading online is not conducive to entrenched understanding:
Let me make a further observation…
That New Yorker magazine – the print copy – is full of other articles that would enhance one’s intelligence, not just the one piece that Christian chose for his Anomalist link: A piece on dementia by Oliver Sacks, an Adam Gopnik review of a book about Denis Diderot (whom the New York Review of Books also thought worthy of updated recognition in its March 7, 2019 issue [Page 17 ff.], an then there are those cartoons.
These offerings of internet links in blog comments and UFO web pieces, which I also resort to on occasion, sadly, (as above shows), are trenchant reminders of how those shortcuts to education or enlightenment are filling the gaps (and creating more) in the minds of almost everyone and certainly those in the UFO community where cultural intelligence is (and has been) at a low.
Get The New Yorker, the NYRB, TLS (Times Literary Supplement), the London Review of Books, et cetera and book offerings by the few scholarly writers of UFO material.
Reading, offline, will provide a greater enhancement to your life and intellectualism than the blurry and often slipshod cacography that is proffered to supposedly edify.
