Lots of guest articles going up with week, thanks to all who have contributed!  One should have gone up today but I was so annoyed with the constant media coverage of this ever present 90% stat I had to write about it.  I’m thinking as prices drop the time will soon arrive to purchase another gun, as a necessity of course.  This time I might look into a 1911, either Kimber or SAI.  Not quite sure…

Fair Warning: Another Rough Hurricane Season Is on the Way
PJ:  Assuming war doesn’t break out with NK or the economy doesn’t implode, those of you who reside in the path of these monsters take note.  Be prepared to live without power for up to a week, be prepared to bug out with all necessary supplies in 30 minutes or less!

Senators work on possible breakthrough on gun background checks
PJ:  I haven’t confirmed these statistics, but according to an article in PressTV less than 1% of the 76,000 people who failed background checks last  year were even prosecuted.  If we can’t even prosecute those people what will this new law accomplish?  What a joke!

North Korea readies missile launch as fears of a covert cyberwar grow
PJ:  Their missiles might not be able to reach our shores but the network is a different story altogether.  This type of warfare is something we are far less prepared for than conventional fighting (in my opinion).

Burger King diner defeats would-be robber by shooting him
PJ:  Good for the shooter, too bad he didn’t hit center mass.  You’ll never see these types of stories on CNN or MSNBC.

Food Stamp Enrollment by State
PJ:  15% of the population on food stamps.  From the article:  In 1975, 8% of all Americans were on SNAP. That percentage is 15% today. Enrollment soared to 47.8 million participants in recent months, an increase of 70%. The Congressional Budget Office predicts unemployment will drop to 4.6% by 2017, but that SNAP enrollment will only drop to 43.3 million people.
