The warmongers in the White House, Congress, defense industry, corporate media and spin industries are at it again. Their incessant war drums and saber rattling are getting louder and they have ramped up their propaganda and spin to make sure the US goes to war whether it is against Iran or Syria. Using the same rhetoric about non existent nuclear threats and a preposterous made up term like Islamofascism they are attempting to dupe us into invading and occupying Iran just like they did against Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia, Yemen and Pakistan.
But given we now know Bu$h and Co. lied about WMD in Iraq and the invasion of Afghanistan was planned and scheduled months before 9-11, shouldn’t we be asking the all important question about the warmongers’ plans for Iran, Syria and Africa, cui bono or who benefits? Who benefits from these misadventures that have bankrupted the US and made it the world’s foremost vampire nation. The most obvious answer is the military industrial complex and their supporters. Would it shock you to learn that many US Senate and House of Representative members are heavily invested in the “defense and security” industries?

“The nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics has calculated that more than 151 members of Congress have up to $195 million invested in major defense contractors that are earning profits from the US military occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan. When General David Petraeus, the top US military officer in Iraq, went to Capitol Hill to brief Congress in April of 2008, he was addressing lawmakers who had a lot more than just a political stake in the Iraq occupation. Along with their colleagues in the House and Senate, the politicians who got a status report from the general and the US ambassador to Iraq had millions of dollars of their own money invested in companies doing business with the Department of Defense (DoD). In 2006, the investment portfolios of 151 current members—more than a quarter of Congress—had between $78.7 million and $195.5 million invested in companies that received major defense contracts (over $5 million). The portfolios include holdings in companies paid billions of dollars each month to support America’s military. These companies provided almost everything the military uses, from aircraft and weapons to medical supplies and soft drinks. Lawmakers with the most money invested in companies with DoD contracts include Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass), with up to $38,209,020; Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ), with $49,140,000; Rep. Robin Hayes (R-NC), with $37,105,000; Rep. James Sensenbrenner Jr. (R-Wis), with $7,612,653; Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif), with $6,260,000; Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich), with $8,360,000; Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WVa), with $2,000,002; Rep. Tom Petri (R-Wis), with $5,800,000; Rep. Kenny Ewell Marchant (R-Texas), with $1,163,231; and Rep. No wonder they didn’t listen to the people when we wrote and protested against their wars.

Who else benefits besides the war industry? The multinational corporations who covet the natural resources of the people we are invading, murdering and abusing all around the world are top of the list. “It is no secret that the Shell oil company colluded with Nigeria’s corrupt Abacha regime to steal oil, pollute the country’s rivers, wells, creeks and soil and render millions of farmers and fishermen in the Niger Delta jobless. ‘[Shell] admitted that it inadvertently fed conflict, poverty and corruption through its oil activities in the country. Nigeria contributes to about 10% of Shell’s global production and is home to some of its most promising reserves, yet the country is steeped in poverty and conflict.’[5] So Shell, in addition to stealing Nigeria’s oil and polluting its rivers, wells and soils, also promotes corruption, poverty and conflict. In the DRC about five million people have died in a war, the underlying motive for which is the satisfaction of the West’s insatiable appetite for high-quality, low-price cell phones, laptop computers, Playstations, jewels, diamonds and coltan. And in Paris, London, Brussels, Berlin, New York or Washington, who cares about five million deaths anyway? Why has the DRC’s war not ended? Who supplies the rebels their arms and who buys the minerals they mine illegally? Why have Ugandan and Rwandan forces crossed several times into DRC? And whose agenda are they pursuing? A report by the UN says it all. The panel calls for financial restrictions to be levied on 54 individuals and 29 companies it says are involved in the plunder, including four Belgian diamond companies and the Belgian company George Forrest, which is partnered with the US-based OM Group.The individuals named include Rwandan army Chief-of-Staff James Kabarebe, Congolese Minister of the Presidency Augustin Katumba Mwanke, Ugandan army Chief-of-Staff James Kazini and Zimbabwean Parliament Speaker Emmerson Mnangagwa, BBC online reported.[6] The report also accused 85 South African, European and US multinational corporations – including Anglo American, Barclays Bank, Bayer, De Beers and the Cabot Corporation – of violating the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) ethical guidelines on conflict zones.” Multinational corporations: The new colonisers in Africa www.probeinternational.org/node/6475

And of course there are other parasitic instigators agitators and provocateurs who benefit both directly and indirectly from US, the UK and NATO wars. Israel is one. Their mythological historiography claims their “god” promised them the land from the Nile to the Tigris Euphrates Rivers. Aside from the fact it’s a myth, the people who today call themselves Jews are not the genetic descendants of the ancient Hebrews ! The overwhelming majority are converts to a form of Judaism they modified to meet their needs.
