Falsely imprisoned CIA and DEA drug-running whistleblower wants to connect with another falsely imprisoned high-level guns-drugs-oil crimes whistleblower with whom he did time.

Stew Webb was confined as a political prisoner at the Federal Prison in Springfield, Missouri, also known as Siberia- USA. from 1992-1993. There, he met and became well aquainted with Beau Abbott. The two men were at the time among some 1500 political prisoners. Now, Webb wants to reconnect with Abbott.

“I was also a political prisoner in jail with Beau Abbott and spent two months talking with him daily,” Webb wrote this weekend in a short request for information on wherabouts of Abbott. “Beau and I were there with 1500 Iran Contra Players like Beau.”

Abbott and other whistleblowers, such as former political prisoner John Carman, jailed for blowing the whistle on weapons for drugs at the Mexican border, are written about in Rodney Stich’s book, Defrauding America. Webb said this weekend that he did several radio programs in the mid-1990′s with Abbott, after his release from prison. 

“[T}hen the heat came on him and he got off the radar scope,” Webb said. “He is legit and did work for the DEA. I saw the paperwork and verified it… I would like to talk with Beau.”

Abbott, a former DEA pilot, was forced into and compromised into flying weapons to the Nicaragua Contras. Abbott’s girlfriend, who’d just had his child, was murdered in Switzerland as was his boss, a DEA agent, Santiberio. Webb says Santibeio was murdered after “illegally arrested in San Antonio, Texas and fed a peanut butter sandwich laced with arsenic.”

One year ago, in February 2013, new documents revealed Ronald Reagan’s neocon aides cleared the way for Israeli arm sales to Iran in 1981, soon after Iran freed 52 U.S. hostages. The move doomed Jimmy Carter’s re-election and seeded the Iran-Contra scandal.

Just six months after Iran freed the 52 Americans hostages, senior Reagan administration officials secretly endorsed third-party weapons sales to Iran to align U.S. policy with Israeli desires to sell arms to the Islamic republic at war with Iraq, according to documents recently released by the National Archives.

This Israeli arms pipeline to Iran already was functioning when the policy shifted on July 21, 1981. Three days earlier, on July 18, an Argentine plane had strayed off course and crashed (or was shot down) in the Soviet Union, exposing Israel’s secret arms shipments to Iran, that had been going on for months. Though many Americans remained livid toward Iran for holding 52 American diplomatic personnel hostage for 444 days, a memo explained. L. Paul Bremer III,  State Department’s executive secretary, described in a memo a secret Reagan administration strategy confirming “to American businessmen that it is in the U.S. interest to take advantage of commercial opportunities in Iran.”
