The Wall Street Journal publication is reporting that, special forces units will have to guard the newly opened American embassy, and recognizes that the presence of US special forces on the territory of Ukraine will mean escalation. But, “President Biden has not yet been presented with this proposal. But if he approves it, the troops will be deployed only to protect and secure the embassy, which is within range of Russian missiles,” and the “Biden’s initial promise was that American troops would not be sent to Ukraine”.
