The challenge of a rising China has provoked the USA to think long an hard about how to delay or derail them. Unfortunately the military planners and politicians of Washington DC have decided to follow an old recipe and that is of a proxy war in Taiwan.

I am one who had my grandparents alive until I was almost 40 years old. Depression amd ww2. I remember EVERY word they said to me. Somehow I absorbed it, and felt the pain they endured as they recounted the stories of hardship and true heartbreak, ad it was heard in their voices, and seen in their eyes. They did not focus on the hardships, as it was always followrd by an adament “We did what needed to be done, and we’re grateful for all that we did have.” They always spoke of how weak the following generations were becoming and drilled into me, to always have faith, and listen carefully to what they told me. Somehow, it was like they knew I would need their wisdom one day. I am a generation that was terrified of such a conflict, growing up in the 70s and 80s.I had a quarter of my life without that fear. Sadly younger ones do not even know what a nuclear winter, radiation sickness, or the amount of death would bestow us all. May God keep us ALL!
