New support package for Ukraine – worth SEK 4.6 billion
Ukraine will receive 4.6 billion in new military support from Sweden, the government and SD announce at a press meeting.
The support package, which is the seventeenth in the order, includes, among other things, six combat boats and ammunition for both combat vehicles 90 and the anti-aircraft system Robot 70, writes TT.
- Regarding the war itself, it is also in an intense phase, says Minister of Defense Pål Jonson (M) at the press conference and emphasizes that Russia continues its “relentless” and “brutal” attacks against Ukraine.
Sweden’s 17 support packages to Ukraine have a total value of SEK 48.1 billion.
The latest package of 4.6 billion includes:
- Six combat boats with launch vehicles for SEK 500 million.
- Grenade launchers, grenade launchers, anti-tank guns, tank mines and more robots for the Robot 70 anti-aircraft system for SEK 500 million.
- Procurement for Ukraine of, among other things, ammunition for combat vehicles 90, camouflage for armored vehicles 302 and drones for 1.3 billion.
- New parts for Gripen E for 2.3 billion.
