Are you a writer between the ages of 15-25 or over 60?
Would you like to attend the 805 Writers Conference but have financial constraints?
Why not submit the first five pages of your manuscript to be considered for the New Voices in Writing Scholarships?
The Writers & Publishers Network presents scholarships to new writers wanting to learn more about the business of writing and the craft. We believe that writers never know enough about the business side of publishing, like design, layout, distribution, or the big one, marketing. However, many also need more in-depth sessions on writing and what successful authors do with their characters, their process, and finding and keeping an audience.
This year’s conference will address the hottest topics, and we want new writers to attend. The submissions will be judged on originality, quality of writing, pacing, and story development.
Judging takes place the following week, and winners will be contacted on Friday, September 30. The decisions of the judges are final. Everyone not accepted will be offered a 25% discount to attend the conference.
The scholarship winners will be acknowledged at the conference.
It’s simple to register, and there is no fee.
To submit, visit https://www.805wc.com/.

The 805 Writers Conference is not only for people wanting to learn about the craft and business of book publishing but for book lovers too. Three ways to enjoy, learn, or find your new favorite book.
New this year—the 805 Book Expo features over 40 regional authors daily and all conference speakers signing books at scheduled times. The Expo is open to the public for free.
The entire conference is available in-person or via Zoom for people unable to attend. Zoom attendees will have a special extra – the ability to schedule a talk with a book editor about their manuscripts. In-person attendees will have the opportunity to meet with a literary agent.
Four half-day workshops will cover memoir, characters, book marketing, and author branding. Registration for these workshops opens on August 15.
