Federal Authorities Secure Four 'Narco Laboratories' In Sanalona Ans Los Mayos: Sinaloa

Federal authorities seized four drug laboratories in Sanalona and Los Mayos, east of Culiacan, more than 18 thousand liters of chemical substances, 22.5 kilograms of substance containing methamphetamine, 175 kilos of phenylacetic acid, and 11 vehicles.

In the first case, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) in its Federal Prosecutor’s Office in Sinaloa, initiated an investigation for a crime against health, after elements of the National Guard located a property in the vicinity of the town of Los Mayos where they found chemical substances.

At the site, the agents seized 175 kilos containing phenylacetic acid, 110 liters 24 milliliters of toluene, 142 liters 255 milliliters of hydrochloric acid, 155 liters 49 milliliters containing phenyl-2-propanone; as well as a wheelbarrow vehicle, six gas tanks, seven reactors, six burners and a metal container. 

The site was handed over to the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) and the Forensic Services personnel of this institution, to carry out inspection, processing and investigation work; while the seized goods were handed over to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office. 

While in Sanalona, the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, with the support of personnel of the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM), and the Forensic Services of this institution, carried out the proceedings in different properties.

In the first place, the federal authorities seized 1,272 liters 960 milliliters of substance containing methamphetamine, 1,799 liters 97 milliliters of toluene, 2,159 liters 895 milliliters containing 1-phenyl-2-propanone, 399 liters 99 milliliters of acetone, 589 liters 935 milliliters containing hydrochloric acid, 179 liters 99 milliliters of methylamine, nine kilos 509 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, seven vehicles, two tractor-trailers, one ATV, four jets, 10 gas tanks, three gasoline pumps and other items involved in the crime.

In the second, 2,904 liters 790 milliliters of 1-phenyl-2-propanone, 13 kilos 816 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride were seized; while in the third place, 9,99 liters 830 milliliters of methylamine, a scale and a four-wheeler were seized.

The seized items were handed over to the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, who initiated the investigation against the person or persons responsible for the aforementioned crime.
