In the middle level, Arabella Advisors has six nonprofits, 501(c)(3)s and 501(c)(4)s that funnel money to more than 500 groups on the bottom level. These groups usually exist as projects of the six nonprofits and often masquerade as grassroots organizations in an effort to influence policymakers and the pubic, when the groups are really controlled by the nonprofits.
