If a war starts and Russia involves Finland, Finland will immediately pound St Petersburg into dust with conventional artillery. It’s their first retaliatory strike, and St Petersburg is right next to the border. If Russia attacks Finland, St Petersburg gets trampled into powder on a blow-by-blow basis. Finland is not messing around and Russia should stop posturing. This said, Russia is incapable of invading Finland. Most of the border is impenetrable forest swamp and you need extended training in the Finnish military to traverse it. Finland is fine. They have bunkers. They have LOTS of long-range artillery close to St Petersburg. Russia knows they cannot invade Finland, and they know Finland can level St Petersburg.
