RAPTURE DECEPTION ALERT!!!

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

There is a widely held deception within the Church (or so-called Church) that the rapture takes place BEFORE the tribulation period. This viewpoint is not Scriptural at all and is a doctrine of demons. Many in the so-called Church falsely believe they will be taken out of the world before the tribulation period begins. They are in for a rude awakening. The rapture takes place at the Second Coming of Christ, at the end of the age, at the final trumpet. Before going any further, let me define what the rapture is. The rapture is this specific event:

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

—1 THESSALONIANS 4

Concerning the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, Paul said in 2 Thessalonians 2:3  to not let any man deceive you in any way, for that day (the rapture) will not come until there comes a falling away FIRST and the Antichrist is revealed. So Paul said that the Antichrist will come first and then the Day of Jesus Christ, or rapture, comes after that. Those who teach about a pre-tribulation rapture teach that the rapture comes first and then the Antichrist comes, which is the exact opposite of the order of events that Paul teaches! Whom shall we believe then, the Apostle Paul or these so-called teachers of the Word?

Jesus presents the same order of events as Paul does in the parable of the weeds (Matthew 13:24-30) and the explanation of it (Matthew 13:36-43), where the weeds (the bad guys in the tribulation) are pulled up first and then the wheat (the Church) is gathered. No matter how you cut it, a pre-tribulation rapture contradicts this parable.

It is not the prayer of Jesus to take us out of this world before the tribulation, for He said in John 17:15 that His prayer is not that the Father takes us out of the world, but that He protects us from the Devil. This then is what you should set your sights on: being kept safe from the Evil One, overcoming and enduring UNTIL the end, not being raptured out of here BEFORE the end!

At the heart of Satan’s deception of a pre-tribulation rapture is the misconception that the “restrainer” referred to in the second chapter of 2nd Thessalonians, who is holding things back so that the Antichrist isn’t revealed until the proper time, is the Holy Spirit. This is not true. It is the exact opposite of this. This restrainer that Paul talks about is not the Holy Spirit, it is the unholy spirit, or Satan. Look at the language Paul uses. He says that the one holding back the secret power of lawlessness will continue to do so until he is “taken out of the way”. It is not a voluntary thing—he is forcibly removed, against his will. The Holy Spirit NEVER goes against the will of the Father! So the restrainer is not and cannot be the Holy Spirit! The mysterious restrainer will be forcibly removed and then the Antichrist will be revealed. The Antichrist is Satan’s “trump card” so to speak, or his best weapon, Satan’s last resort. If you are in a war and you are wise and cunning—as we know Satan is—then you do not use your last resort before it is time to use your last resort. The world today is full of corruption and evil. Satan doesn’t need to unfurl his best weapon when he is pretty much having his way. But that will change when the true Body of Christ unites and becomes the true Church. As the Church realizes its part in the end times and comes together in love and grows and matures and starts walking in the true power of Christianity, doing the things Jesus did and even greater things, reaping the great end time harvest in the greatest revival the world has ever known, and as they pull down strongholds of the enemy all over the place, then the overcoming Church, as personified by the man child of Revelation 12:5, will win the victory over the Devil by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony and Satan will be cast down from heaven—he will be taken out of the way in heaven. Paul knew there was coming a time when the Church would be victorious over Satan as described in Revelation 12:7-12. This onslaught against the powers and principalities of darkness will back Satan into a corner, forcing him to play his trump card, or use his best weapon, his last resort. It is at the very beginning of Revelation 13 that the beast arises. So it is Satan who is the restrainer who must be taken out of the way in heaven and then the Antichrist will be revealed.

Concerning the end of the age, Paul tells us of a great secret, a mystery in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, that there would be a generation of people—the final generation—who would never see death, but will be changed in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST trumpet. How can the last trumpet be anything other than the 7th trumpet in the Book of Revelation? If it were some other trumpet prior to this, it of course would not be the last trumpet! The 7th trumpet in the Book of Revelation brings the 3rd woe, which is the climatic and cataclysmic event which the Church is waiting for, when everyone on earth (see Revelation 1:7) will witness the glorious and spectacular return of the Lord Jesus Christ coming upon the clouds in an awesome burst of power and glory to usher in the eternal Kingdom of God. The moment when the Church is caught up in the air to meet Jesus in the clouds, or the rapture, the Second Coming, occurs at the last trumpet, which occurs at the end of the age at the third woe—THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST IS THE END OF THE AGE!

The rapture is not some secret poof-out-of-nowhere event. In Luke 17:30-35, Jesus talks about the day the Son of Man is revealed and says that if someone is on the roof, he should not go down into the house to get his goods. Or if someone is in the field, he should not go back into their house to get their goods. And He says to remember Lot’s wife, and that whoever tries to save his life will lose it. If the rapture is this mysterious event where “poof”, everyone is gone in an instant, then there would be no thought process that they could go back into their house to get their goods, or there would be no thought process to try and run and save their lives or not. When Jesus returns, everyone will know it and everyone will see it (see Revelation 1:7). Whether Christians are taken up or “left behind” depends on what their thought process is at that time, what their inclinations are at that time—that is, if they are watching and if they are ready. Only those who remain firm UNTIL THE END will be saved (see Matthew 24:13).

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure out that the birth pains of Jesus’ return have begun. Of course those in the world and even many in the so-called church are completely unaware of it. And because they are unaware, because they are not watching and are not ready, they can be caught up at any time in the ever-increasing destructions of the birth pains. And yet, for Christians, in spite of all the urging in the Scriptures, it appears as though half of believers will still have some darkness in them, there will still be some fear in them when Jesus returns. They will not remain firm until the end and they will try and run to save their lives. They may have been watching but they will not be ready for that awesome event, that climatic end of the age, that exclamation point at the end of the age. If there is even one iota of fear in them, one iota of not being ready, then the great glory, magnitude, ferocity, voracity, and rapidity of that climatic and cataclysmic event will overwhelm them. They will try and run to save their life and hence lose it. They (and I’m talking about believers, not those who have received the mark of the beast, for they end up in the lake of fire, the second death) will lose their eternal lives and enter into the Millennial Reign in their mortal bodies.

Not only will the rapture/Second Coming be evident to one and all when it happens, but the Church will know when it is RIGHT AT THE DOOR. When Jesus described the events in Matthew 24, the birth pains (wars, rumors of wars, famine, pestilence, earthquakes), the Church being persecuted by all nations, the false prophets and lawlessness, the gospel being preached as a testimony to all nations, the abomination that causes desolation, the first and second woes (that is, the sun being darkened, the moon not giving its light, the stars falling from the sky, the heavenly powers being shaken), Jesus said in Matthew 24:33 that when you see ALL these events, it (the Second Coming/rapture) will be near, RIGHT AT THE DOOR.

Those of you who say that the rapture is imminent, how can it be imminent if we have not seen ALL the events Jesus described? Tell me those of you who believe in a secret, mysterious, poof-out-of-nowhere rapture, is Christ’s coming “right at the door” right now? You cannot say yes to that, can you? But still, because of your stubborn pride, in spite of what the Scriptures say, some of you will still say it is “right at the door” right now and nothing else has to happen for it to occur, it can happen at any moment. And you will quote Jesus saying that no man knows the day nor the hour! You use that to justify your “sliding scale” or “blurry” view that it may happen tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, next decade, next century or next millennium. So, if it may happen at any time from now until whenever, how does that constitute “right at the door”? It doesn’t. Yet, Jesus said we will know when it is right at the door!

So then, just what does the time period RIGHT AT THE DOOR mean? It means that there will come a point in time when the Second Coming will be truly imminent. Here is how and when we will know the Second Coming is right at the door, or truly imminent:

There are 3 woes in the Book of Revelation (see Revelation 8:13). In the 1st woe, which lasts 5 months, Abaddon, or the Destroyer (see Revelation 9:11), comes on the scene. During the first woe, no one dies, though many will wish they could (see Revelation 9:6). But many, many, many will die in the 2nd and 3rd woes (Trumpets 6 and 7). There are 4 angels bound right now at the Euphrates river. When they are loosed, they will kill a third of all mankind (see Revelation 9:14-15; this is during the time of the second woe). The 2nd woe consists of the 1260 day (see Revelation 11:3) ministry of the two who are one. Their 1260 days coincides with the 1260 days of the Antichrist (Mr. 666). Then at the conclusion of the 1260 days of the two witnesses, at the conclusion of the 2nd woe, the 3rd woe will come quickly thereafter (see Revelation 11:14). The 3rd woe occurs simultaneously with, and in concert with, the Second Coming (rapture). It is at the conclusion of the 2nd woe that the 3rd woe/Second Coming will be truly imminent, right at the door.

At the advent of the 3rd woe, at the sounding of the 7th trumpet (see Revelation 11:15), there will be “a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great” (Revelation 16:18). And Christ will come riding on the clouds (see Revelation 1:7) in a more than awesome burst of power and glory to set up the eternal kingdom of God at the glorious conclusion and climatic and cataclysmic exclamation point at the end of the age known as the Second Coming of Christ!

Daniel spoke about the time period we are about to enter and he said the Antichrist will wage war against the saints and overcome them, until the Ancient of Days pronounces judgment in favor of the saints and then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the saints, and they shall retain it forever and ever and ever! Hallelujah! Oh but many in the present day Church don’t believe that these saints that Daniel speaks of are the Church! John also spoke of this time, that the Antichrist will overcome the saints (Revelation 13:7) and the saints will rule and reign with Jesus for all time to come! Hallelujah! But no, many in the present day Church don’t believe the saints in the Book of Revelation are the Church! Let it happen as you believe! Those in the body of Christ that refuse to repent of their erroneous teachings and cling to this false hope of a pre-tribulation rapture will be “left behind” alright, they will be on the outside looking in while the true Church executes the glorious plan of God!

Finally Church, above all things, the Word beseeches the children of God to be ready for the return of Jesus. Of course, we will not know the day nor the hour. But yes, through the prophetic Scriptures, we will know when it is imminent. We will be participants in the script that God has written for mankind, so we will know when we are in the final act. All that will remain at that time is waiting for the final curtain to come down—and down it will come, with a vengeance! After the 2nd woe, we will know that the return of Jesus is imminent. But since we will not know the day nor the hour, it will be a very tense—yet joyously expectant—waiting game. And it is of the utmost importance for those of us expecting Jesus to be ready for Him. To try and paint a picture with words of the return of Christ will not do the real event justice, but it will help you to understand the utmost urgency for you to be ready for it. When Jesus comes, He will come riding on the clouds with his angels in a mighty explosion of power and glory. He will suddenly overtake the whole earth with great thunderstorms, earthquakes, winds, hail, and an all-consuming, devouring fire. He will rip the sky open and come down flying on the living creatures, traveling swiftly on the wings of the wind. Smoke will pour out from his nostrils; consuming flames and burning coals will spew out of his mouth. The LORD will cover himself with darkness and surround himself with thick clouds; out of the brightness of his presence, the clouds will advance with hailstones and bolts of lightning and flashes of fire. The valleys of the sea will be exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bare at the anger of the LORD, at the blast of breath from his nostrils. Christ will rout his enemies with bolts of lightning and mighty power, raining down fire and sulfur upon the wicked, burning them to a crisp. Picture yourself standing out in open country and in the distance, on the horizon, imagine the biggest, strongest, darkest, most violent thunderstorm you can imagine, multiply it by thousands upon thousands upon thousands, and then add raining fire and brimstone to it, and see it coming your way—rapidly. It is unlike anything you have ever seen before. It spans the entire horizon. As it approaches you with great speed, the very foundations of the earth shake and the ground it passes over is destroyed and the sky itself is consumed from one end of the horizon to the other—it will disappear with a roar, rolling up like a scroll.

This scenario I just described, I described it in slow motion. When this awesome event does happen, it will all happen suddenly, in an instant. You will only have time to realize that it’s the end of the world and to react instinctively. Psalm 91 must be in your bones so you will not run in fear. The thought, the emotion, the overwhelming passion, the fire and the desire to meet Jesus in the clouds when He comes must be in your bones so you will not run in fear. Be firm unto the end. So remain in Jesus and be ready. Remember, it is the third woe—it will come quickly after the second woe!

So if you want to survive the return of Christ—the most frightening and awesome event ever to be witnessed—then be ready for it. If you are not mentally prepared for the return of Christ, then the great glory, magnitude, ferocity, voracity, and rapidity of this climatic and cataclysmic event will overwhelm you. If you are not ready, fear will grip your heart when Christ overtakes you and you will try and run to save your life—in which case you would lose it! So I warn you with the utmost urgency child of God, be ready for it! You must be mentally prepared for it, expecting it always during that time of imminence so that once it does happen, you will be filled with joy and love instead of fear. The Second Coming of Christ will be like the time when God rained down fire and sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah. Before God rained down fire and sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah, the angel of the LORD told Lot and his family not to look back. This time, we have been told not to fear for our lives, to not to try and run and save our lives. Remember Lot’s wife! If you have remained in Jesus, you will be ready to meet the LORD in the air when he comes because perfect love drives out all fear. If Psalm 91 is in your bones, no fear will be in you. When Christ returns riding upon the clouds bringing with him the promised salvation and rewards and ushering in the Kingdom of God, and you have prepared yourself for it, then you will stand there with your head raised and with joy in your heart because you will know that the time has finally come, the time where you will be changed in the twinkling of an eye to be caught up in the air to meet the LORD in the clouds to be with Him forever more! Hallelujah!

So when the return of Christ is imminent (it is the 3rd woe), be expecting it always, for we will not know the day nor the hour. To divert your attention even for a moment at that very tense and ominous point in time could be fatal. That Day could catch you suddenly like a trap. So in that time of imminence child of God, be in the “ready mode” so the return of Christ does not take you by surprise. And then when that great event does occur, when you see Jesus coming on the clouds in great power and glory to usher in the eternal kingdom of God, don’t try and run to save your life. Hey, that body you’re in right now isn’t your final home anyway. When you see Jesus returning on the clouds, know that your soul and spirit are going to “jump” out of your present body into your brand new immortal resurrection body. So when the time comes to be gathered up in the clouds, drop whatever you’re doing and receive your salvation and rewards by leaping into Jesus! Yes, be ready child of God!

May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with all the saints. When Jesus returns with his rewards, He will give us royal scepters and we will rule as kings on earth forever and ever! Hallelujah!

So remain in Jesus and be strong in your faith you sons of Gods and I’ll see you on the other side of the Second Coming! Hang onto what you hope for, in Jesus name, amen!

      You expound so much on the Rapture being at the end of the triulation, emphasizing that no man will know the day or the hour. But, the Book of Revelation itself says exactly what the day will be when Christ returns to set up His kingdom: 1260 days exactly after the abomination of desolation spoken by Daniel the prophet is set up in the temple. Anybody living in those times will be able to see the desolation take place and count 1260 days, thus knowing exactly the day when Christ will return – and be counting off the days waiting for it. You also have the whacky idea that, if a christian sees a thunderstorm coming and runs the other way, he will not be raptured, but destroyed. In my Bible, Christ says that all those that the Father has given Him can in no wise be taken out of His hand.

      Jesus told the disciples that He was going to prepare a place (elsewhere), and one day come back and take them there (not here.) If the rapture is at His coming to set up the Kindgom on the Earth, where is the time allotted to take us to this wonderful place that He went AWAY to prepare FOR US! The rapture has to happen before the tribulation, and whether you see that or not, you’ll still be in it because…

      Either pre-trib believers will be surprized if the rapture doesn’t take place until the end of the Great Tribulation, or the post-tribbers will be surprised (and disappointed) when they are raptured out before they have a chance to really suffer. But, in either case, Jesus is not so ineffective that He should lose anyone who belongs to Him, either now, at the pre-trib rapture or at His coming!

        No one knows the day or hour of His return. And the Book of Revelation does not say it is 1260 days after the abomination of desolation.

        • Bo Knows

          When Jesus spoke these hotly debated words regarding the day and hour of his return he was speaking of a specific day that every Hebrew/Jew/Israelite knew. That particular phrase is known as an Hebraism. We Americans have our own Americanisms, such as Independence Day – the 4th of July. Thus “the day and hour that no man knows” is The Day of Trumpets or Feast of Trumpets; in the Hebrew language: Yom Teruah. The Orthodox and Rabbinic Jews have obfuscated this day by calling it Rosh Hashanah or the Jewish New Year, Tishri 1.
          The reason it is called “the day and hour that no man knows” is because it is the 1st day of the seventh month. In the Book of Exodus, God told the Israelites that the beginning of the month shall be the 1st sliver of the new moon. Thus, one has to be looking for this event to occur after the dark of the moon. No other Feast Day is celebrated on a new moon.
          From our Western-Gentile Greco-Roman influenced and Gregorian sun god calendar mind set, this is lost on us, as is much of the Scriptures. Because Constantine hated the Jews he removed everything he viewed as Jewish from the new Christian religion, including the name of Y’shua which was supplanted with Jesus, not realizing the Feast Days were given by God to ALL as a shadow picture of his “plan”.
          Now you too know the day in which Jesus spoke of. We watch and wait for the fulfillment of prophecy that will announce to us the year.

          Thanks for the information Bo, good stuff.

        • Truthseeker

          Bo you do Know!

          Each of God’s 7 Holy Feast Days shadows or portrays a part of the plan of salvation, and the Feast of Trumpets is the time of the return: at the last trump, the 7th trumpet, which is the 7 Last Plagues – when the 7th Plague is poured out, Revelation says — IT is done!

          When the abomination of desolation is set up and Jerusalem is surrounded the Great Tribulation starts and the 3 1/2 years begin. The Day of the Lord which is also the Wrath of God is the last year of the 3 1/2 years.

      The rapture is a teaching of men not God. What the quotations in the letter known as 1 Thessalonians is saying, is that the annointed 144,000 will be together with Jesus, and no one else. The disciples of Christ are the first of those annointed. They will be taken before the final battle of Armageddon, as they are to battle with Jesus against Babylon the Great, the world empire of false religion. No “rapture” exists. It’s all false teaching by false prophets and false religions to assist Satan in misleading the entire inhabited Earth. Realize that the entirety of the Bible was addressed to those annointed followers of Jesus Christ. Not to anyone else. It was written for them to teach the rest of the world.

    • Crazy times

      v6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.8 And THEN the lawless one will be revealed.

      as it is written v8 AND THEN ……”WHEN” THEN !!… he WILL BE REVEALED.

      this flows yours is a 3 card trick on PTR …..viewers beware he’s set a trap if you answer him.

      Furthermore ….YOU ALSO… DON’T SEE

      It’s funny, how many of us have bought into Hollywood’s version of the Rapture.
      According to books like “Left Behind”, God’s chosen will be, in the blink of an eye, taken up to heaven, with only their clothing and physical possessions remaining. At that point, the Tribulation will then take place and literally “all hell will break loose”. The thought of having to endure such an event is terrifying, so it is only natural for us to look forward to being removed, prior to its occurrence. For those of us who know and believe scripture to be the divinely inspired Word of God, there is no mention of the word “rapture” anywhere in the bible.

      Scripture tells us that there will be no gathering of elect, until after the tribulation. For Jesus does not return until the antichrist has been revealed, as reference in 2 Thessalonians 2:2-4. Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God. Interesting, that which is holding him back is the Dome of the Rock. I believe that it was placed there by the Lord. At the proper time it will be removed.

      Here are some scriptural passages that have been linked to the Rapture. Let’s examine them!
      Matthew 24:29-31. 29 “But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30″And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. 31″And He will send forth His angels with a Great Trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. – This event occurs after the tribulation

      1 Corinthians 15:51-56 “51 Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at The Last Trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victor.” 55 Where, O death is your victory? Where, O death is your sting? 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.”
      The last trumpet occurs after Jesus returns.

      1 Thessalonians 4:15-17…15 ”For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we, who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.…
      Again, this event occurs after Jesus descends from Heaven.

      Matthew 24:36-41 “36 But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up until the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. -
      If you look at the context of being “taken away”, Jesus explains that was how those people died. Jesus went on to discuss the men in the field and women grinding with a hand mill. Like before, one was taken, meaning that they perished. The other was left unharmed, or “passed over.”

      We see this scenario, early on, beginning in Exodus, regarding events that took place in Egypt, when God sent plagues throughout the land destroying everything in their path, except for the Israelites, who were “passed over.” The same thing occurred in Daniel 3:17 with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Refusing to renounce the Lord their God, they trusted that He would save them, and He did.

      “If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire; and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.” – They were then bound and thrown into the fiery furnace, which caused them no harm.

      While studying Exodus, I made an amazing observation. The Egyptians were beset with plague after plague, because they refused to obey the God of Abraham, ultimately resulting in the death of every first born son of the Egyptians, for refusing to obey God and release the Israelites. The Israelites, themselves, were “passed over” because God claimed them as His own. There was one stipulation that he made the Israelites agree to, however.

      In Exodus 15:26 26 He said, “If you listen carefully to the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.”

      So where does this leave us, as believers in Christ? We need look no further than John 17:13-16, where Jesus prays to His Father to protect those who love Him. “13 But now I come to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves. 14″I have given them Your Word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15″I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one.… This scenario is described in Psalm 23 and Psalm 91

      Psalm 23
      1The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. 2He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. 3He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and loving kindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

      This world is the valley of the shadow of death. Sin is its vector, or means of corruption. Yet God prepares a table for believers in the presence of their enemies, which means that true believers are protected and, in fact, thrive, if they follow in his paths of righteousness.

      God explained that to Cain in Genesis 4:7 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”

      Psalm 91 gives us a glimpse of the extent of God’s protection for those who love Him and keep His commands and decrees.
      91 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
      shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
      2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
      My God, in Him I will trust.”
      3 Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler
      And from the perilous pestilence.
      4 He shall cover you with His feathers,
      And under His wings you shall take refuge;
      His truth shall be your shield and buckler.
      5 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,
      Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
      6 Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
      Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
      7 A thousand may fall at your side,
      And ten thousand at your right hand;
      But it shall not come near you.
      8 Only with your eyes shall you look,
      And see the reward of the wicked.
      9 Because you have made the LORD, who is my refuge,
      Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
      10 No evil shall befall you,
      Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
      11 For He shall give His angels charge over you,
      To keep you in all your ways.
      12 In their hands they shall bear you up,
      Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
      13 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,
      The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
      14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
      I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
      15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
      I will be with him in trouble;
      I will deliver him and honor him.
      16 With long life I will satisfy him,
      And show him My salvation.”

      We will not be removed from the tribulation. True believers in Christ will be divinely protected by God Himself and will have nothing to fear just as they were “Passed Over” in Exodus.

      This scenario is also explained in Ephesians 6:10
      10 Finally, Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
      This same message is carried out over and over throughout Sacred Scripture.

      How unfortunate, that many wait for a rapture that will not occur. Because of their lack of faith, they will buy into the lie that Satan has so brilliantly constructed, believing that they have been “forgotten by God” or that “God doesn’t really exist” because they weren’t miraculously removed “when all hell breaks loose,” when in fact, God has indeed fulfilled his promise of protection, for those He loves, and who truly love Him.

      2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 “The coming of the Lawless one will be in accordance with the works of Satan displaying all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders deceiving those who are perishing. They perish because they refuse to love the truth as so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so they will believe the lie because they refuse to love the truth, but delight in wickedness.”

      Lastly, in Luke 21: 10-18, concerning the last days; “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from Heaven. But before all this, they will lay hands on you and persecute you. They will deliver you to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name. This will result in your being witnesses to them. But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves. For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. All men will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will perish. By standing firm you will gain life.

      How will we turn the tide, the hebrew roots movement stamps this pre trib as approved. I watch them and know some of them and they will not listen. I told people years ago that I know in my heart I will walk thru the trib and this was before I was on solid ground. Christian wise I do better on some days than others but the walk gains solid ground as you mature in Christ. My friends do not believe lo here is the Christ or he is in the upper chambers. His word says over and over and each phrase, verse and book say the same in different verb age. The tares must be separate by God, the hour of temptation must be passed by each and everyone alive today, that is when satan steps in the temple and declares he is the one we are looking for we must not be tempted!!!!

      Rapture is a deception. The book of Matthew tells us that as the days of Noah were also shall the days of the son of man be. The book of Matthew also tells us that the flood took all men , women and killed them all but only Noah and his family was left. We see the word took is the past word for take, also Matthew tells us that as the days of Noah were also shall the days of the son of man be. So, because Matthew says this Matthew is telling us that our lord Jesus Christ is going to take all men, women and is going to kill them all, but only a few will be left. If we use the word rapture we use mostly the word take. For example, my lord Jesus is going to take me on the rapture because I believe in him. Remember take is the future word for took. So Matthew make it very clear to understand that all men, women will be taken and killed, but only a few will be left. Hope this helped you understand the rapture deception! May the lord be with all righteous .

      Well said the pre-trib rapture is for those who can not witness for Christ because they are caught up in health wealth and other worldly pursuits
      Without the True Spirit of God the Bible cannot be understood
      I love the fact that you correctly state that Salvation occurs for those who endure until the End
      you may enjoy tis article that destroys the 7 yr tribulation theory?

        HahBwahahahahah…One of the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard …. :eek: :eek: :eek:

        It’s about JACOB, her TROUBLE :arrow: ISRAEL that’s why it’s named after Her :idea: …They that are under the LAW (as the Age of Grace has gone at the rapture) the ones who keep the commandments of God who are hauled up to the (BIG CLUE) :arrow: Synagogues ..who have to endure to the END with their new faith in Y’shua tks to the Elect 144,000 witnesses & the 2 Prophets.

          Please give Bible verses for the following. I would really like to know where these are state in the Bible.
          1) Tell me where the Bible says the Church will not be on earth during Jacob’s Trouble.
          2) Show me where the bible says that Jacob’s trouble is seven years long.
          3) Show me where the Bible says there will be a seven year period called “The Tribulation.”
          4) Give me a verse that tells me the Daniel’s seventieth week is a seven years of God’s wrath.
          5) Show me where the Bible states that the 144,000 are witnesses or evangelists.
          6) Give me a verse that states that the Holy Spirit is the one who restrains the mystery of iniquity.
          7) Where in the Bible does it say that the so-called tribulation period is the wrath of God?
          8) Show me where it says that the Bride is “clearly PROMISED” to “escape all these things.” I don’t see the word “bride” mentioned anywhere in the text.
          9) Show me in the Bible where it states that the so-called “Church Age” is a “parenthesis” in God’s dealings with Israel.
          10) Show me where Bible says the dispensation of grace ends and the dispensation of law resumes.
          11) Give me a verse that states that the ones who keep the commandments of God are the 144,000. BIG CLUE :arrow: ” Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments…and it is the Spirit who bears witness…He who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in himself…”

          Why do you not understand Luke 21:36? Jesus said that these things would happen to those ‘He was addressing
          `And ye shall be delivered up also by parents, and brothers, and kindred, and friends, and they shall put of you to death;
          and ye shall be hated by all because of my name –
          and a hair out of your head shall not perish;
          If Jesus meant that they would “escape all these things,” He would not have told them that they would suffer them. The actual Greek language says “escape out of, to flee away, to seek safety in flight.”
          He is repeating verse 21. “…then those in Judea, let them flee to the mountains; and those in her midst, let them depart out; and those in the countries, let them not come in to her…”
          And this is not about escape by way of rapture during the end times. Jesus said that these things would happen before the birth pains.
          ye may hear of wars and uprisings, be not terrified, for it behoveth these things to happen first, but the end is not immediately.’
          Then said he to them, `Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom,
          great shakings also in every place, and famines, and pestilences, there shall be; fearful things also, and great signs from heaven there shall be;
          and BEFORE all these, you shall be delivered up…”

          • toddwott

            Beginning with “The Elders as Relevant,” is another poster’s comments. My reply is in a following post beginning with “…continued.”

        • toddwott

          …continued

          YOU SAY: The Elders as relevant?
          I SAY:
          Tell me where it says the Elders represent the raptured Church. There was a voice like a trumpet calling John up IN THE SPIRIT, and there was no voice of an archangel, and no mention of the rising of the dead in Christ FIRST. PreTribulationists make a huge deal about the differences between Paul’s description of the resurrection and rapture and that of Jesus, but completely ignore the fact that John’s supposed rapture is different from both Paul’s and Jesus’. In addition, the people of God are rewarded at the Seventh Trumpet, when the mystery is finished. The Elders would not yet have crowns if they represented a raptured Church before the “tribulation.”

          YOU SAY: The redeemed around the throne…. out of every Nation?
          I SAY: Amazingly, this is one of the most obvious proofs that the Church is not raptured before the “tribulation.” The redeemed are around the Throne after the opening of the Sixth Seal, after the 144,000 are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Jesus clearly tells us the Sixth Seal events occur “after the tribulation of those days.” In addition, Joel and Isaiah tell us that the Sixth Seal events occur BEFORE the Day of the Lord. In other words, this is the order of events:
          1) The opening of the first four seals…”Many will come in My name…and will deceive many. And you will here of wars and rumors of wars…nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilence, and earthquakes in various places. These are the beginnings of sorrows.” (Matthew 24:5-8).
          2) The apostasy. “…you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another and hate one another. Then many false prophets will arise and deceive many. And because of lawlessness, the love of most will grow cold.” (Matthew 24:4-5, 9-13).
          3) The revelation of the man of sin due to widespread apostasy in the Church, which loses its saltiness and becomes good for nothing except to be trampled upon by men. (Matthew 5:13; Revelation 11:2) “Therefore, when you see the abomination that causes desolation…then there will be great tribulation…” (Matthew 24:15, 21). “And I saw the souls of those under the Altar who had been slain for the word of God…” (Revelation 6:9).
          4) The Sixth Seal is opened, a prelude to the Day of the Lord “…there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became blood. And the stars of heaven fell to earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs…” “Immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens will be shaken…Now, learn this parable of the fig tree…” (Matthew 24:29, 23). “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth; blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon into blood before the great and awesome Day of the Lord.” (Joel 2:30-31). “Behold the Day of the Lord comes…for the stars of heaven and their constellations will not give their light; the sun will be darkened in its going forth, and the moon will not cause it light to shine.” (Isaiah 13 9-10). “All the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall roll up like a scroll, and their host shall fall down…as fruit falling from a fig tree.” (Isaiah 34:4).
          5) The Day of the Lord, which consists of the gathering of the Saints, and the destruction of the wicked. ” That Day (the coming of the Lord and our gathering to Him) will not happen until the apostasy and the revelation of the man of sin.” (II Thessalonians 2:1, 3) “Then the sign of the Son of Man shall appear in the heavens, and He shall send His angles with the sound of a great trumpet, and they will gather His elect…but as the days of Noah were, so will be at the coming of the Son of Man…they were eating and drinking…until the Day Noah entered the Ark, and did not know until the flood took then all away…” Matthew 24:30-31, 37-39). “Then the sixth angel poured out his Bowl…Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments…” (Revelation 16:12, 15). “And those who were ready went in with Him to the Wedding, and the Door was shut.” (Matthew 25:10).

          YOU SAY: The rapture…. until the END , I thought we where to judge?
          I SAY: Not sure what this means.

          YOU SAY: The crowned ones?
          I SAY: What about them?

          YOU SAY: The OPEN door in Heaven
          I SAY: The open door in heaven is NOT the rapture. Jesus is the Door. All who enter in through Him are saved. The Ark also had a Door, that since Peter tells us that the Flood represents baptism that saves us, all those in the Ark are those who have been buried with Christ in baptism (Romans 6:4), and have risen with Him and are seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). Notice that the Ark landed on dry land on the 17th day of the first month…the Feast of Firstfruits! “For if we have become united with Him in His death, certainly we shall be in the likeness of His resurrection…” Also, notice that Noah, his family, and all kinds of clean and unclean beasts enter into the Ark for seven days, that then AFTER the seven days the Door was CLOSED, and NO ONE outside survived the wrath of God. Nor were the Foolish Virgins. Jesus said, “I never knew you.” Earlier, Jesus said, “Many will say to Me in that Day…and then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me…’”

          YOU SAY: The DOOR NEVER OPENS AGAIN…..the 10 Virgin parable during Jacobs trouble?
          I SAY: You are correct. The Door never opens again, which means it must close at the end of the seventieth week. If it is closed before the time of tribulation, after a supposed rapture, NO ONE will be saved during the seventieth week. When the Door to the Ark was closed, no one outside survived. There would be no so-called “tribulation saints,” (a concept foreign to Scripture). Notice also, that the Wedding happens at the Second Coming, when the Bride, the Wife of the Lamb has made herself ready, and that the Wedding Feast happens after this, while the birds of prey are invited to their own Feast, composed of the bodies of the dead who die in Armageddon. (Revelation 19:17-18).

          YOU SAY: The Wife (recognize the change)
          I SAY: Yes, but there is no evidence that the marriage began seven years prior. The Feast of Tabernacles is actually the seven day wedding feast, not the supposed seven year “tribulation.”

          YOU SAY: The saying Y’shua said to John , He (John) will tarry till I COME. when did he come for Him ?
          I SAY: Not sure what your point is here. John and Peter are “types” of the “dead in Christ,” and those who are alive and survive,” respectively, as are Stephen and Philip in the book of Acts, but nowhere is there any hint that “I COME” is PreTribulational. Peter was martyred, John survived. Stephen was martyred, Philip was raptured.

          YOU SAY: I’m only just getting started I have so much more that you won’t be able to SEE, so I’m restraining myself, as you have been found wanting and won’t accept… “as it is written”

          2 Peter 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

          2 Peter 3. AND he’s taking about…The Day of the Lord.

          This is YOU.

          I SAY: Let’s see. Let’s look at some “wresting” of Scripture.
          You claim “saints,” doesn’t really mean the Church, even though the saints and called saints, throughout the New Testament. This is based on a wrong assumption that the Church cannot be on earth during Jacob’s Trouble. Gentiles are grafted into Israel and in Christ become “one new man.” Not to mention that “all Israel,” who is saved when the Redeemer comes out of Zion, are grafted into the very same Tree that the Gentiles are grafted into now. There is ONE PEOPLE OF GOD, not two.
          You claim the Church is not mentioned after Revelation 4, so it can’t possibly go through this period. We are called, “chosen, elect, saints, servants, prophets, God’s people, and a host of other names throughout the New Testament, and now in the book of Revelation, these don’t apply to us? Huh? Revelation is written TO THE CHURCHES, FOR THE CHURCHES.
          You claim that the Church is a “parentheses” in the midst of God’s dealings with Israel. The Bible states that the Church is the “culmination of the ages.” It is God’s mystery “hidden from the ages,” now revealed in “the fulness of time.” It is that to which all the types and shadows of the Old Covenant pointed.
          You claim the Day of the Lord is the same as the Seventieth Week, even though Scripture CLEARLY states, in fact, Jesus Himself states, that the Day of the Lord, happens after the Sixth Seal events, which happen after the tribulation of those days.
          You claim the 144,000 are evangelists that preach throughout the Seventieth Week. Where do you see this stated in Scripture? They are called “servants.”
          It seems it is you who ignore “as it is written,” and actually ADD to what is written.

          YOU SAY: and anyone who thinks SATAN has been holding himself (SATAN) back, as the restrainer as you mentioned… is totally Deluded
          I SAY: The fact is, no one knows what or who restrains. It is nowhere stated in Scripture (And remember Scripture say not to go beyond that which is written.)
          However, the Holy Spirit is not “taken out of the way.” If you read the Greek, you will see that the verse says nothing about anything “taken.” The phrase translated as “taken out of the way,” is the Greek, “ginomai mesos.” “Ginomai” means “to become, to come into existence, to arise, to appear in history, to appear in public.” The word “mesos,” means “middle, the midst, amongst.”
          The correct translation for this verse should be , “And you now know what restrains, that he (the man of sin) might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity already is at work, but he at this time restrains, until he (the man of sin) appears in the midst. And then shall the wicked (man of sin) be revealed…”
          The entire PreTribulation theory is based on a belief that God “set aside” Israel to dead with Gentiles, and that the Church must be removed so that He can resume His dealings with Israel. First, “Paul states that “not all who are descended from Israel are Israel, nor are they children of Abraham because they are his descendants…it is not the children of flesh who are the children of God, but the children of promise.” He goes on to say that, even though “the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant will be saved.” Furthermore, he states that “at the present time, there is a remnant chosen by grace.” He gives his own salvation as proof of this. God has not set aside Israel to deal with the “Church.” He is saving a remnant of Jews now, while the rest are being hardened. A remnant will continue to be saved, and the rest will continue to be hardened, until the fulness of the Gentiles comes in.
          The last branch will be grafted into the tree, the last stone will be placed in the Temple, the last plank will be sealed on the Ark, the last wait will be added to the Body, when Jesus comes for His people.
          “Therefore, remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh…were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the Commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise…But now in Christ, you who were once far away have been brought near (you were grafted into the Olive Tree) by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made the tow one…that He might create in Himself One new man out of the two, thus making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross…So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself as the chief cornerstone….”a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.”
          And lastly:
          Pretribulationist claim that the Old Testament saints were saved in a different way as New Testament saints, through the Law, and that during the Seventieth Week, God will return to dealing with them through the Law.
          “…Abraham believed God and it was reckoned to hi as righteousness,” so you see that it is men of faith who are sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, ‘In you shall all the nations be blessed.” So, then those who are men of faith are blessed with Abraham who had faith. For all who rely on the works of the Law are under a curse.
          “By faith Abraham obeyed…he looked forward to the city which has foundations (Revelation 21:14), whose builder and maker is God….They all died in faith, not receiving what was promised, but having seen it and greeted it from afar, and acknowledging that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For people who speak this way make it clear that they are seeking a homeland. If they had been thinking of that land from which they had gone out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.”
          “By faith Moses,refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to share ill treatment with the people of God…He considered abuse suffered for the Christ greater wealth that the treasures of Egypt.”
          “And all these, though well attested by their faith, did not receive what was promised, since God had foreseen something BETTER for us, that APART FROM US THEY SHOULD NOT BE MADE PERFECT.” Old Testament saints AND New Testament saints will be made perfect on the same DAY, both being saved by grace through faith.
