The city of New Rochelle, N.Y., has removed the historic Gadsden “Don’t Tread On Me” flag from a military armory, deeming the flag “too partisan” because it often is used by the tea party movement.
And in response, veterans groups have tapped the Thomas More Law Center to take up the fight.
It was after an official ceremony on March 21 at the New Rochelle Armory that a new American flag was unfurled to replace the previous weathered flag that flew at the location. Beneath the new American flag, the yellow Gadsden Flag was flown, as is common tradition on many military sites.
However, within a week of the ceremony, City Manager Chuck Strome ordered the Gadsden flag be taken down because of “unidentified complaints” that the flag was a symbol of the tea party movement.
Peter Parente, president of the United Veterans Memorial and Patriotic Association of New Rochelle, sent Strome links to the history of the flag so he decided to allow it to remain.
But the city council then stepped in, voting 5-2 to order the flag to be removed.
The five members who voted to uphold its removal were Democrats, while the two voting to reinstate the flag were Republicans.
That same day, the public works department removed the flag.
Now the flag fight is headed to court.

How ridiculous! How can a flag (ensign) with such a rich history be associated with a recent political situation?! I hope they’re still flying that flag while they await a ruling. Even if it were to come back unfavorable. I’d still be flying that flag.

I guess we should BAN the United States flag because it got its origion from those who coined the term TEA PARTY by pushing back at a tyranical oppressive government. I know I fly it proudly because of its political meaning. FREEDOM. Sometimes I wonder if those back east have any moral foundation left or have succumbed to the brain washing of the elite that they get their liberties from the collective?

“Too Partisan”? Has the education of the public really sunk so low that they do not know that a bipartisan congress is expressly illegal? It is illegal for the reason that it turns a two party system into a one party system which is the rule of Kings and Dictators.
We are supposed to by Partisan.
This is to ensure that each and every individual group of our diverse cultures of humanity, will each have a voice to represent their own unique concerns. This representation means that the arguing and debating of a subject is made public.
This argumentative debate then educates the public to the ideas and express needs of the diverse groups of humanity that the people in the public may have otherwise never heard of or been informed of in their day to day individual lives.
Thus informed on these things, the public and their elected councils are then educated enough to vote intelligently on the matter at hand. The majority of humanity is very humane, and this is the care and insight that allows us to move forward both spiritually, and as an advanced race of mankind.
