Shawn Weed is a Marine vet who has the most incredible testimony about hell I have ever heard! Shawn was in the Marines and was clowning around with a bunch of friends when tragedy struck. One of Shawn’s friends in the Marines had convinced Shawn to pretend he was hanging by a noose for a picture. What Shawn didn’t realize was that another friend had snuck up from behind and suddenly tightened the noose as a joke! Shawn quickly passed out and found himself outside of his body while his friends thought he was only pretending to be dead! For over 8 minutes Shawn’s body was clinically dead and that’s when his incredible journey to hell took place.
Shawn is a good ole southern boy from Louisiana and his story will make you laugh and cry too because he’s a great storyteller with an amazing level of detail that I really enjoyed. He’s the kind of guy you would like to get to know! In fact, I went to college in Louisiana with a guy very much like Shawn.
Shawn put out this amazing video because he doesn’t care if anybody ridicules him. He knows his trip to hell and back were absolutely true and it changed his life forever. This world we live on is really just a test to see where you go when you die. Just because you say you’re a Christian or even if you believe in Jesus Christ does not get you to heaven. Average people who live in the world will not go to heaven. As Shawn states, there are a lot of good people in hell that rejected living a truly Christian life for God. We all can do better! We all must do better!

Awesome video, but we don’t ‘earn’ our way to heaven, hence Christ came, suffered, died, and rose to purchase us from death and sin and make us right with God. Accepting the priceless truth of this gift is all we need do, but we should respond to this gift by obeying Christ.
That is the lie that the ‘wolves in sheep’s clothing’ are promoting in the churches. They are leading people straight into the flames and Jesus is not pleased about it all. He said the gate was straight and the way was narrow and that few people find it. Peter, who knew the Gospel well, said that those who believe in Jesus are those who keep His commandments. People are in for a very rude awakening shortly, especially those in the churches who have been duped into believing that they are saved.

CuriousMind is actually accurate in what he says as the Bible talks about this and in order to reach Heaven, you must become saved through atoning of your sins by way of confession to God & Jesus Christ took it all for us on the cross so that we could have a way to have a relationship with God. Those who will deny God and his Son will not inherit the kingdom of God. I mean, it’s all there in plain view in the Word of God. So that’s all.

I also had a few questions: Was anyone punished for what happened to you that day? This type of horseplay happened to my brother on a Marine base in Ca. Only he had a fire extinguisher sprayed in his eyes, blinding him for 2 weeks. He got a medical discharge out of it, and the other guy got Brig-time. I am sure, or at least hope that you have forgiven the gentleman that did this. Was just wondering what happened after you came back. Thank you.

I expected somebody under demonic control to open their pie hole with doubt of the story. His name has nothing to do it with it but I guess you think it will make you sleep better at night thinking that the story isn’t true. Well it is true – if you deny Jesus Christ and don’t live a Christian life then you will meet that demon that Shawn met. He made that video to allow others to see the truth. You just can’t fake his sincerity. God bless you Shawn and let all the mockers and scoffers realize that this is not a joke. Your soul is on the line here. You won’t be laughing when you die, you’ll be crying like a baby when you instantly realize that the biggest lie Satan ever got anybody to believe is that he doesn’t exist!

‘Faith alone’ is the best trick up Satan’s sleeve. The Bible tells us that faith without works is dead, and also that the demons also believe and shudder. It is true that without faith we do not have salvation and that works alone will not get us into heaven. But if one has faith, one’s life MUST turn that faith into works. Our lives must be transformed by our faith in such a way that we do not live as the world lives and do what the world does.
One of these works which reflect our faith which the Bible clearly states is necessary for salvation is baptism.
“…when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water. 21 Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you—not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but an appeal to God for a good conscience—through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, – 1 Pet 3:20-21
Faith alone will not save, but the Bible states that faith + repentance (not just feeling sorry for one’s sins but TURNING AWAY from them) + baptism = salvation.
“He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.” – Mark 16:16
“Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
This passage shows us that when we are baptized we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Jesus himself demonstrated this when He was baptized and then immediately after he came up out of the water, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in the form of a dove and God was pleased with Him. God did not say He was pleased until after the baptism. Jesus also did not start his ministry until after He was baptized. This shows us that we are acceptable to be ministers for Christ AFTER baptism and not until then.
Going back to the Holy Spirit, the passage says that if we repent AND are baptized, we will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, or in other words, we receive the Holy Spirit as a gift from God. Ephesians tell us that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit :
13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory. – Eph 1:13-14
30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. – Eph 4:30
These passages tell us that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit to mark us as God’s own possession for the day of redemption. When does the Bible say we receive the Holy Spirit as a seal? When we are baptized.
Please do not be deceived by Satan. He will tell us 99% truth and slip in 1% lie if that means we will be deceived into following his way and not God’s way. Faith alone is a lie from Satan. This marine obviously believed in Jesus and it wasn’t enough. The Bible clearly outlines what one must do for salvation. In summary it is:
Faith + Repentance + Baptism = Salvation
