Crazy For Barbara Bush; Will Liberal Politicians Now Ban Gas and Knives

In the state with the strictest gun control laws in the nation would be assassin Benjamin Smith was arrested by secret service Friday morning after they received a call from his mother saying she was worried. It seems a firearm wasn’t the only thing Mr. Smith had in his trunk. They also found two machetes and some gasoline.

We expect to hear any moment whether Liberal politicians will now move forward to ban knives and gas. It is unclear at the time of this post whether his mother turned him in out of fear for the former president or just to get him out of her house.

Benjamin Smith, 44, of Pittsford New York was arrested in Manhatten by the U.S Secret Service according to a complaint filed with in Federal court. He was found in his car by Secret Service agents, in possession of a loaded rifle, machete and a container of gasoline.

Mr. Smith screamed as he was taken into custody Friday , “Bush will get his”. In a later interview, while being asked about his marital status, he told agents he was divorced and “working on a relationship with Barbara Bush”. At the preliminary hearing, Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrea Griswold told U.S. Magistrate Judge Henry Pitman the government believes Smith was referring to the president’s daughter and not Bush’s mother, who she shares the same name with.

Under 18 U.S. Code § 879 – It is illegal to make threats against a former president. On Thursday, Mr. Smith’s mother had contacted police and informed them she had found a threatening note in the home she shares with her son and that a rifle was also missing.

The note left by Mr. Smith said, I’m going to work for George W. Bush and the Pentagon,” the note also read, “I have to slay a dragon and then Barbara Bush is mine”. Secret Service tracked Smith down through phone records to Manhattan where Smith was arrested Friday morning. It is still unclear why he was in New York and where Mr.Bush and hi family were at that time. Smith’s defense lawyer, Peggy Cross-Goldenberg, said the note and Smith’s outbursts did not constitute a “true threat”. The judge also conceded it was “unclear” a jury would find Smith guilty. “Admittedly, there is some inconsistency in the notion that the way to win Barbara Bush’s affections is to kill her father,” Pitman said.
