Elderly Concealed Carrier Shoots 1 Of 2 Armed Robbers At Senior Center (Video)
Five people, including the suspected gunman, were shot at the Safe and Sound Social Club in Gary, Indiana. Officers responded to the members-only club Wednesday around 11:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of Broadway in Gary. The brave concealed carrier is identified as E.C. Robinson, age 65. Robinson was shot during the incident and is being treated at an area hospital.
The suspect in custody after being shot is identified as 23-year-old from Chicago. A second suspect managed to escape from the scene. The conditions of the other shooting victims are currently unknown, but it not currently believed anyone died during the incident.
Not only did a gun save lives and property here but i the end of the shoot out nobody was killed. if I had to guess I’d say it is because there were all bad shots. But, the point is that time and again guns actually save lives too which just proves the saying that guns don’t kill people, people kill people.

Repeatedly they say it was a man. The picture given by the source is of a cute old lady with a rifle. That is not a concealed weapon, nor could it ever be a concealed weapon unless the lady was really fat. Mort has a history of distorting the facts. Never’the’less this is a good example of gun control. Old people with guns are a good deterrent of violent crime against them, just as other age groups display the same capacity. I have had a situation like that, but non violent. I actually talked the gunman into calming down and going away. It could have been really tragic, but the entire time I was thinking ‘why am I in the woods, at a drinking party, with city folk Yankee strangers without a gun’?This older teen was on major drugs and was waving his gun around at the girls faces for some offense no one could understand.He pointed the gun at me, and I said” it is cool, we are all mellow here, no one hates you. WE just want to hang out and watch the fire. It seemed to work. He left.

What ever happened to the other 4 people she shot? All we know is they didn’t die. Okay. Who are they? Were they armed? Were they criminals? Were they bystanders who got in the way? Who shot them? Was it the 23-year-old gunman and his partner? Did Robinson shoot them? I really need to know these things if I am to assume the conclusion of this report.

That’s not the shooter, and that’s not the gun. This womam is clearly “elderly” as in 80.. the shooter was only 65 , which is not elderly, and a concealed permit for a high powered huntring rifle is .. er.. unlikely. Staged photo..

The person in the picture is a woman and she looks a lot older than 65. The “REAL” shooter was a man. If you are going to report a story, make sure you have the info correct including the picture(s).
It was not an old granny with a suppressed M-4 that did the shooting as per the staged photo. They did not make it clear who was the defensive or offensive shooter(s) although it sounder like a 23 y.o. that was the defender. It was definitely a pistol caliber, probably a .380 or 9mm.
That being said, being very pro 2nd amendment and being very well armed and having a CHL, I have only had to DRAW on two occasions. It does go to show, that thugs than get guns and do not worry about a CHL, whereas we, the law abiding, can get harassed for carrying legally. It happened to me once when there was a debate about how far I was from a school while concealed carrying in my auto.
If I am every pulled over I always show the officer my CHL. In this case it was a bad idea since the a*hole used it against ne. BTW, after a range finder was used I was outside of the 1000 foot distance and all charges were dropped.

Seniors should not be allowed to carry guns. If this story is true then its a rare case. Just recently a senoir shot and killed a man in a movie theater over texting while another senior is on trial for shooting over loud music. These are just a couple of examples of what happens most of the time a senior uses a gun. Same thing with kids. Id rather fight with my fists as I spend hours every day training and eating right. Most of America is too fat, stupid, lazy, out of shape, and cowardly to do that though.

People have a moral right to defend themselves, family, friends, and property. Not only that, people have a personal responsibility to do this.

This should be a “well, duh.” But, so many have been mesmerized by the media’s demonizing of the weapon, itself, that too many just go bananas when a gun shows up. “Look out, he’s got a gun!” No evaluation of who the “he” is – just the gun and panic. And folks have the gall to believe it isn’t conspiratorial.
Bless those old folks for being somewhat prepared. It looks as if they could use some basic instruction, though. Were they better prepared, it would have been only necessary for the “meat wagon” to show up.
