President Obama, who has notably ignored our open Southern border, welcomed illegal aliens, and refused to institute a travel ban from Ebola-ridden countries, has a hardcore solution for Americans who are potentially suffering from Ebola. He’ll just increase the police state another notch.
“What I have directed the CDC to do is that as soon as somebody is diagnosed with Ebola then we want a rapid response team, a SWAT team essentially, from the CDC, to be on the ground as quickly as possible. Hopefully within 24 hours.”.

For this administration (as with the previous one), every disaster or bad event is an excuse to expand USG power. So logically, letting Ebola-infected individuals into the US and THEN rounding up all infected citizens, makes perfect sense. If Obama prevented this potential disaster, that would spoil a great opportunity to further control US citizens (which is what every draconian anti-liberty piece of legislation in recent years has been about – not controlling “terrorists”).
This article totally distorts the meaning of Obama’s statement.
There is not “rounding up” of invected persons. A person diagnosed with ebola is already a patient at a hospital, and the “CDC swat team” is a medical group which will insure that proper protocol iis followed.
The call is for a rapid response team (analogous to a SWAT team) to monitor and insure proper procedures.
The “rounding up infected” people headline is just fear-mongering designed to make people distrust the government. This is exploiting a health emergency, which requires a federal response, as a way, through lies, to bash Obama.
I noted that the same article, word for word, which the Daily Sheeple published, is being repeated by all the right wing fear-mongering websites, all using the same fake headline about “rounding up infected people.”
And even if it were true that there were infected people out in the general population, shouldn’t they be
rounded up and sent to the hospital for quaranteen and treatment?
To know a person has ebola, they have to be diagnosed in a hospital; there is no need to round them up. There is a need to make sure the hospital observes the proper protocols, and that is what the CDC rapid response team would be doing.

What this article about monitoring states is that a hundred or so folks are being monitored…and at least some of their residences are under armed guard. (This early in the game, how long do you think we’ll be able to place armed guards at each doorstep as numbers of the qua teemed increase?) it also states that at least some are able to walk dogs and take buses… They just can’t go to church or school or the mall.. How will that work out?

In Africa the disease moved from animals with the disease to villagers who either touched the animals, contacted its feces, or actually ate the meat of an infected animal. When the villagers went into the big cities to get supplies or look for work, they brought ebola with them.
Primates are especially susceptible, and The National Geographic magazine reports that the endangered gorilla population in West Africa is being totally ravaged by the disease.
Pigs also get ebola but are asymptomatic. Considering all the hog farms in America;

If somebody is “diagnosed” with Ebola, wouldn’t they be at a hospital when that diagnosis was confirmed? So… Why would they need swat teams to capture and quarantine them? Doesn’t make any sense whatsoever, and just lends credence to the “We need Ebola so we can have martial law” crowd.
