It was reported on January 4 that an Egyptian citizen, identified as “Nagy” was digging in his backyard when he found a tunnel to the Great Pyramid! The tunnel was found 33 feet beneath his house and is made of stone blocks. Archeologists have been looking for this tunnel for decades! What did “Nagy” get for his discovery? He got promptly arrested since digging in the area is illegal. Egypt’s ministry of Antiquities has sent archeologists to the scene. With the new discovery of this tunnel, archeologists now believe that an undiscovered temple maybe be buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman.
I hope they give poor “Nagy” a break and drop the charges!
