“You kicked the man’s door in. He’s disoriented and he’s in his own house, privacy of his own home; my first reaction would be to grab a gun, too,” said Allen’s friend Otis Thompson.

In what is becoming the new normal in Police State Amerika another man has been murdered at the hands of the police. This time it occurred in Gastonia North Carolina during one of those so-called welfare checks. According to WSOCTV North Carolina, This all started when family members of 74 yr old  Army Veteran James Allen who was recovering in his home from recent heart surgery contacted police after they were unable to reach Allen. Gastonia police first arrived at Allen’s home around 10:30 pm Saturday night but got no response, so, what do police do in the new America? Why, they kick in the mans back door of course and upon entering his home, James Allen was standing there with a gun in his hand to protect himself from the perpetrators which he most likely thought were criminals breaking into his home( which technically speaking, he was right) What transpired next was something that is happening quite frequently now anytime Law Enforcement is involved, a police officer who says he feared for his life fired his weapon at Mr. Allen fatally wounding him.

SBI investigating after officer shot, killed Army vet holding gun

GASTONIA, N.C. — Family members got their first look inside a Gastonia home Monday after a police officer shot and killed an armed 74-year-old Army veteran inside.

Channel 9 found court documents that show firefighters forced James Allen’s door open Saturday night during a welfare check. The police chief said an officer fired his weapon after Allen pointed a gun at him.

Family members said they are devastated by what happened.

“I think that he probably thought somebody was breaking in his house or robbing him of something,” said the victim’s sister, Mary Battle.

She is in disbelief over the shooting. She said her brother, who fought in the Korean War, was recovering from heart surgery. Police said they went to the home to do a welfare check after relatives in Anson County alerted the authorities there.
