Blaise Gauba was born in Aspen, Colorado on February 17th 1963 to Tony Gauba and Maureen Hawkes~Gauba. Mr. Gauba has been creating art in many different forms since he was a child. Mr. Gauba got into professionaly art related fields around 1978/79 initially having gotten the acting bug when he was very young, and having joined local theatre in Bisbee, Arizona where he was in several plays. He attended The Southwestern Film Consortium through the University of Arizona Tucson in 1979. There, he studied film making in all its aspects...but overall, his interest lay in acting. In 1983, the opportunity to move to Los Angeles was presented and he moved to L.A. with his mother and his three younger sisters. He immediately took whatever jobs he could find, initially in fast food which quickly dissolved into more creative venues working in Beverly Hills doing custom silver closets and vinyl drawer liners and then after doing a stint at a Santa Monica Health Food Store, Mr. Gauba got the break he was looking for, and finally got into the Screen Extras Guild, which subsequently folded two years later when the Producers and Directors unions busted the Screen Extra\'s Guild. After quitting the extra work (which was really a go nowhere venue), Mr. Gauba was in a very bad motorcycle accident having been hit by a drunk driver and almost losing his life...along with some personal body parts. The recovery of Mr. Gauba was a long and arduous process and Mr. Gauba suffered bouts of depression and often pondered the meaning of life. But eventually, Mr. Gauba came out of his self-indulgent stupor and managed to get on with his life. He found work as a special effects artist doing everything from special effects make up to fiber optic displays. He has done everything from giant sculptures for feature films and television shows to character sculpting for divisions of the Disney Company. Presently, Mr. Gauba can be found creating what he has termed: Retro Sci-Fi Key Chains...and has three new key chains available on his Etsy Shop page on the World Wide Web. Mr. Gauba can be contacted for art consulting and direction for everything from film and television productions to toy design and collectibles to graphics and he has sixteen plus years in Photoshop. He is an accomplished water colorist and works well in acrylic paints. He is a lesser known political cartoonist as well as a comic and children\'s book artist (unpublished art). Mr. Gauba started this MySpace page with the hopes of sharing his art with the general public. Please keep in mind that ALL the art on this site is not meant to offend anyone of any age, but advises those who might be offended, to just not visit this profile page. Mr. Gauba is not afraid of taking on controversial projects for his clients as some of the images you will see in the albums here can attest to. To Mr. Gauba, \"It is just a way to pay my living expenses and nothing else.\" To contact Mr. Gauba for any art related projects, whatever they may be, please feel free to do so by going to his \"BlaiseGaubaSCulptor\" website. Thank you.
