The young duo supposedly made their shocking confessions in February, telling the village head that they would wake up in the middle of the night, and upon hearing their names whispered, would soon find themselves walking through the woods in the company of two witches and a warlock who would then encourage them to drink blood from a clay pot.
“This granny would pick me up and go with me to gather firewood where she would always say to me ‘look at those snakes’,” one of the girls told My Zimbabwe News. “From there I started seeing three people at night who would say to me ‘Let’s go and eat human flesh’. I would sneak out of the house then go with them.”
The young girl added that whenever they left their house in the company of the sorcerers, that her shadow would mysteriously stay behind, locked in her home. The weirdness doesn’t stop there, however, as their tales of black magic contain even more amazing feats, such as tapping graves with a stick and seeing them open up like a door, or growing fingers as sharp as knives when feeding on the dead. The little girls even offered to prove their tales to the villagers, but not a single one was brave enough to take them up on the offer.
HOLY CRAP! This is straight out of the evil dead or something. Hollywood writers beware, Zimbabwe has got some gems to tell. Seriously though, two thoughts come to my mind. One, I am open to the possibilities that this is all real. I have seen things, heard things that could not possibly be there or exist. Two, this is the result of ignorance like back in Salem in the 17th century. A story and nothing more. This is however not the first time strange news has come out of Zimbabwe.
