Black Sea's Underwater Ancient Secrets Slowly Revealed: Large Sunken Byzantine Ship Spotted

MessageToEagle.com – A large sunken Byzantine ship has been discovered in the Black Sea off the coast of the city of Sevastopol on the Crimean (Taurica) Peninsula by Russian divers from the Rostov-Dive Club.

The Byzantine vessel has been found at a depth of 82 meters, and is up to 120-125 meters long, as cited by the Interfax news agency.

The cause of the Byzantine shipwreck and the object’s age remain unknown for the time being but researchers believe it’s more than 1,000 years old.
