Inseego Corp and Ericsson partner on 5G new radio tech
Inseego Corp (NASDAQ:INSG), a 5G network and Internet of Things specialist, announced on Monday that it is partnering with Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) to introduce 5G new radio systems.
Inseego’s 5G new radio portfolio is set to launch this year and it was handpicked by Ericsson, the network infrastructure provider, to handle its applications.
“Our engineering teams have been working closely with their Ericsson counterparts on interoperability testing between network infrastructure and our patented 5G NR MiFi technology to push our joint solutions toward rapid commercialization,” said Ashish Sharma, executive vice-president of Internet of Things and Mobile solutions at Inseego.

Inseego has the potential to emerge as a significant player in the early, residential buildout of 5G.
The latest upgrades to the company’s MiFi technology include algorithms for an array of 5G use cases and hacker-proof security features.
Formerly known as Novatel, Inseego is forging ahead in emerging 5G technology and has dedicated itself to restructuring and exiting its underperforming businesses to focus on the transition from 4G to 5G.
The San Diego, California-based company is a $365 million company dedicated to the design and development of products that enable high-performance mobile applications for large enterprise verticals, service providers, and small and medium-sized business around the globe.
Inseego shares held steady at $5.64 in afternoon trade on Monday.
