Dirty Little Secrets?

Everyone knows that what so ever you put out in public, can and will be used against you because you made it public. Most already know that Facebook tracks your browsing, history and personal data and it is no secret the CIA admitted to monitoring Facebook on a constant basis. Facebook was sued for invading privacy which was reported by Yahoo News on January 3, 2014. But what about those intimate moments between a husband and wife or what about that friend who confides in you through a message on Facebook? What about those dirty little secrets that you want kept quiet? Well I’m sorry to say those messages are no longer secret, private or confidental. If you’re not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about, but that still doesn’t mean your messages are private and confidential. Those days at Facebook are over. Never put anything online whether public or private that you do not want anyone else knowing and remember, simple common sense can go a long way.

An article released by Hemp Beach on August 19th, 2014 has announced more news in regards to you and your loss of privacy at Facebook stating:

“Beginning October 1st, Facebook will be implementing a drug task force designed to arrest those who buy and sell narcotics while using the online social networking site. Facebook is calling the group the Facebook Drug Task Force, or FDTF, and will be monitoring all postings and messages created by its users.

Chairman and chief executive of Facebook, Inc., Mark Zuckerberg, spoke with CNN about the FDTF. “The task force was created to keep users of Facebook safe,” Zucckerberg said. “The FDTF will be working directly with the Drug Enforcement Agency and local law enforcement agencies. We’re gonna put away the bad guys.” Zuckerberg continued, “Online crime has risen to all-time highs. As the world’s number one social networking site I feel it is our job to protect our users from such deadly things as drugs.”

Now, I may not do drugs or anything like that and I mostly use Facebook for sharing my music, promoting  albums or my husbands music and things of that nature but it really bothered me because their monitoring has gone to such extremes. Although it’s really no surprise or front page news considering all the information that has come out as to what Facebook has been doing as far as invading the rights of people. When I learned of this today and wanted to share it with everyone. So, if you have any dirty little secrets or anything of personal nature they’re no longer secret, private and confidential and using Facebook for any personal and confidentail  may not be such a good idea.

There there are places like Facebook that doesn’t monitor or censor what you do and one of them is called; Unseen at https://unseen.is/.  There is a photo sharing that isn’t tracked as well and it’s called, Get Unseen at http://www.getunseen.com/ and for a search engine that doesn’t track you try; DuckDuckGo at http://www.duckduckgo.com/.
