Historic Arctic Blast Sets Sights On Northern USA to Midwest This Weekend Through Early Next Week

The coldest airmass since January 1994 is about to settle into the area.  The forecast map shows what temperatures are expected over the average course of the 3 day period.  Temperatures will be -20 to -30 in North Dakota to Minnesota starting Saturday and lasting through Tuesday as the airmass remains gripped.

The areas across Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio will see their coldest temperatures (possibly challenging records in spots) starting Sunday night across IL and IN… peaking Monday night across Ohio.  Temperatures in some spots of WI/IA/IL/OH are projected to go down below -20F!  This is dangerously cold.
