Storm Window Opens For Pacific Northwest With Multiple Storm Fronts Through This Week Into The Weekend

(TheWeatherSpace.com) – First front is moving through now, dropping rainfall across the area.  Spokane, Washington may see 2-3″ of snowfall, with snowfall starting this morning, peaking tonight, residents waking up to over 2-3″ of snowfall by tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.  The rest of the area west of the Cascades will see flooding rains.

A ridge in the Pacific has been keeping Southern California extremely dry.  However with this flow, the Pacific Northwest is about to enter yet another multiple storm front atmosphere pattern.  The first front will move quickly through the areas west of the Cascades today, dropping snowfall today and peaking tonight into Eastern Washington.

The second storm system hits 24 hours later, around Wednesday morning at 10am.  This will will bring heavy rainfall across the coastal zones of WA/OR, with lighter precipitation out in the Eastern zones, the exception may be Eastern OR where heavier precipitation may develop.

A warm front will bring heavy rainfall to Southwestern/Western Washington on Friday ahead of the third storm system in line.

The third and strongest storm system hits around 10pm on Friday night, and lasts through Saturday morning.  This front is aided by a strong 976mb surface low.  This will bring strong winds to both Washington and Oregon and some areas will see wind gusts in excess of 30-45 mph, maybe isolated 50+ mph in zones with best wind flow.  Details will be worked out in the future at TheWeatherSpace.com Facebook Page on real-time storm updates.
