Tornado Outbreak Projected For Eastern Central United States On Thursday

(TheWeatherSpace.com) – Is it tornado season yet?  The values here at TheWeatherSpace.com have gone into strong/violent tornado territory and it is now official … a Tornado Outbreak is now being projected so anywhere in the shaded zones (pink and purple) will need to stay alert and if you are in the dark purple zone stay especially vigilant!  Get some details below.

Severe storms will form in elevated fashion for hail threats starting Thursday morning at midnight or so across the Kansas City, Missouri zones.  Lack of moisture depth and a cap at the surface will keep storms from forming along the line into Oklahoma and most of Texas so nothing to worry about there.   As the moisture depth and cap release through Thursday, a line of storms will form all the way to the Gulf of Mexico, fully formed probably in Eastern Arkansas through Louisiana.

This line of thunderstorms will be in an environment for directional shear and and extremely strong jet stream punching through the area.  As the storms later Thursday move through the Mississippi River they’ll turn into severe storms capable of producing violent tornadoes.  Right now the surface backing winds look extremely favorable for strong inflow and the directional shear promotes enough updraft exhaust to sustain long tracking tornado probabilities …

The most violent zone will be where all these ingredients meet … in parts of Southeast MO, Northeast AR, Northern MS, Western half of TN and Kentucky, and extremely Southern Illinois.  The rest of the areas further north into IL will have tornado probabilities as well …

This surface low will be strong, much stronger than anything this season that has produced tornadoes in this area within the last four months so I do not see a reason why there will not be a tornado outbreak …
