Historic Blizzard To Hit Nova Scotia On Wednesday, TWS Blizzard Watches and Warnings Likely

A powerful surface low that will be equivalent to a category three hurricane in surface pressure will hit the Nova Scotia zones on Wednesday.  Current projections are that a major blizzard, possibly historic, will hit Halifax.  Wind gusts in some areas to hurricane force will be expected.  Blizzard conditions make it through parts of New Brunswick, Canada as well.

The graphic indicates one hour’s worth of data on Wednesday.  As you can see, the red-zones are where the blizzard areas will be at the time the surface low is southeast of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
