Warning: Nor’easter This Week Forecast Surface Pressure Equivalent To Category Three Hurricane

(TheWeatherSpace.com) – A nor’easter this next week starting later Tuesday and going through the night into Wednesday from the Mid-Atlantic to New England will have a central surface pressure that of a category three hurricane at it’s peak and this forecast article outlines areas that will have less risk, highest risk, and even includes Canada.

A ‘bomb’ we call it in the weather world … this type of system will rapidly strengthen due to the upper jet stream powering it.  The strengthening will happen later Tuesday into Tuesday night as the low moves northward through the Atlantic, just east of the US Mainland.

Previous article has not changed much so if you click here to read that you’ll note it hasn’t changed much in what I’m thinking.  Currently, am taking the heaviest away from New York City, Albany and Washington D.C. and keeping just some snow in the forecast on the western side of the nor’easter system.

The strongest blizzard + heavy snow conditions will be just offshore of New Jersey northeast through Eastern Long Island, Rhode Island, and Boston areas, northeast from there up through the southern half of Maine.  I’ve included New Brunswick and Nova Scotia in this forecast because this storm will hit you the hardest out of anyone on this map … with hurricane force wind speeds expected for the Nova Scotia areas.

From what I can see, unless you are in the pink shaded zones on this map, you do not have to worry about significant snowfall with this system.

TWS Blizzard Watches/Warnings will be needed and issued should this remain on track.  We are around three days from the final forecast, but it looks like the pink areas will have significant snowfall + blizzard conditions and you’ll need to keep to TheWeatherSpace.com for updates …
