Forecast Office: Alternative Weather Service.com has issued a Tropical Storm Watch effective now …

Issued: 7/1/14 at 3:50am EDT

Discussion: A system east of Florida will develop into a Tropical Storm, shortly. This system will develop along the trough axis that will move through the area through the next 48 hours. Timing is sometime around the morning of the 4th of July for Eastern North Carolina. The path of this system will ‘bomb’ out and head up the Eastern NC coast, which should become a tropical storm.

Some numbers are saying Hurricane bomb, which would bring a category 1 hurricane into North Carolina

For now, my tropical storm watch looks good and if an upgrade to warning or even hurricane watch needs to be made … it will be.
