Easterly Wave To Impact Arizona On Tuesday With Severe Storms and Flooding
Weather Alert Central.com – An easterly wave will hit Arizona out of Mexico on Tuesday, causing severe thunderstorms and flooding.
The atmosphere has scattered storms about, however the flow iwll quickly turn southerly overnight tonight and through Tuesday strong upper level divergence will impact the state of Arizona. Numerous severe storms are expected, along with flooding. Flooding will be high in some spots. The targets will hit the Phoenix area as the upper divergence zone remains the strongest.

This could be the strongest monsoonal surge this season thus far for the state of Arizona. This Fall however, tropical moisture will impact the region from tropical systems to the South, moving through Baja, Mexico and into the state.
