‘Pacific Hurricane’ To Send Storms In The Pacific Northwest Tonight into Tomorrow

Weather Alert Central.com – A powerful ‘Pacific Hurricane’  well off the Pacific Northwest coast is putting storms into the Pacific Northwest tonight with gusty winds in spots as the first fall Pacific ‘bomb’ forms.

Pacific Hurricanes are mostly seen in the Fall season.  These ‘bomb’ type systems are deep lower pressure centers that bring heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and gusty winds to the Pacific Northwest.  The most famous would be the Columbus Day Storm event.  However, this will not be one of those … as the low has to be closer.

In-depth.  heavy rain will hit through this evening and tonight for Western Washington and Oregon with the main front.  Gusty winds tonight through Wednesday night will peak in the 25-30 mph range as there isn’t much sudsidence; or sinking air, within the atmosphere to warrant anything higher or dangerous.

Pounding surf is already being noted and this will also continue through the rest of the week .. .some areas over 15+ foot waves with the stronger west swell.

There will also be a chance of Isolated Thunderstorms for the Pacific Northwest through the period …
