Extreme Flooding conditions are expected across much of Northern California from Ukiah, Chico, Redding, and Sacramento with Very High risk concerns through the San Francisco Bay area.  Find your area in the map included.

To put it straight-forward this is the most powerful storm in many years in terms of rainfall amounts in a short period of time.  We’re looking at nearly 7 inches of rainfall for Chico and 5-7 inches for Sacramento, with the San Francisco area seeing three to four inches.  Fresno will see the least of the risk, however nearly high risk so thinking around 1-2″ of rainfall for you ..

The front hits Northern California north of SAC/SFO so Redding to Eureka on Wednesday into Wednesday night, finally carrying into San Francisco, Chino, and Sacramento’s forecast areas on Thursday.  This front has the power to produce extremely gusty winds that may down power-lines and trees.  This is a significant and very dangerous situation here.

The storm will clear by Friday in terms of flooding rains and this warning will expire … but the damage will have already been done.  Take extra precautions if you live in a low-lying area …
