Video: NYC Apocalypse Blizzard Hyped

The surface low is well southeast of North Carolina and the initialization of such is showing us that our first thoughts for this storm is correct and we will be seeing only 10-15″ of snow near NYC with most of the snowfall over 20+ inches further east.  This radar image shows the snowfall as of the timing of this post, starting across the region right now.

Our Blizzard Warning does cover parts of Eastern NJ to NYC and stretches up through Maine, our largest one of the season thus far.  The amounts in our forecast will be updated later, however we do not think at the moment we will see much of a change from our previous forecast and will be sticking to it.

Many keep saying we will be wrong for the Albany forecast of 2-4″ of snowfall and it’ll be more like 10-15″.  We stand by this forecast for lower amounts due to the northern flow in the area with a lack of strong lifting, which will be reserved for the areas within the Blizzard Warning zone tonight into Tuesday.
