THE NATIONAL WEATHER FORCE HAS ISSUED A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY EFFECTIVE FOR PARTS OF;

* Eastern OK … Northeast TX … All of AR excluding East/Southeast/South … all of MO excluding West/Northwest/North … Central/Southern IL … North-Central to Southern IN/OH … Northern half of KY … Northeast TN … Northwest NC … all of VA excluding far southeast … all of WV/DC/MD/DE/NJ … All of PA excluding Northwest/North … Southeast NY … Southwest/Southern MA … all of CT excluding east/southeast

* Effective through Sunday and Monday …

A system coming up from the southwest will bring widespread freezing rain/ice conditions across the advisory zone.  Starting Sunday morning, freezing rain will hit the TX/OK/AR/MO forecast zones, spreading across the entire area northeast of there later Sunday into Monday.  Areas north of the freezing rain zones will be in all snow, but these areas will be where ice is concerning the most.

If in the light blue zones, a glaze is expected.  However, if in the darker blue areas you will have a problem of ice build-up so power may very well go out in such a widespread ice event.
