Breaking: Major Ice Storm Underway

A major ice storm is underway across the South-Central United States today.  Reports of power out in many areas and still the rest of the night to go for North Carolina.  The video above has a short on what is going on across the area.

A warm front moving through the area will bring an ice storm from Northeast GA, across Northern SC, and into much of North Carolina, including Charlotte, Fayetteville, Raleigh, and Greenville … with ice coverage well over 0.10 to 0.25″ expected … which means that it will be a widespread event.  Power will likely go out in many locations within the warned area.
