We’re projecting the highest amounts of snowfall north of the warm front with this event today/tonight and through Monday across Northern PA, Southern half of NY, and through most of New England.  The highest amounts look to be where lifting will maximize across East-Central MA, just west of Boston with over 15+ inches of snowfall possible, Boston still high at 10-15″

New York City will be in the 2-4″ range with no ice expected.  Long Island will be split in three parts with 2-4″ along the north end, 1-2″ Central, and under 1″ southern end.

There will be a fine line between 2-4″ of snow to a dusting across Central New Jersey so this is the sharp gradient for no snowfall to over 4″ of it, so the Northern half will have snowfall while the southern half (excluding west near Philadelphia) will not, so Atlantic City you’re out of any snowfall chances.

Pittsburgh you’ve already seen 1-2″ of snowfall and not much else will fall.  You were taken care of in the previous article and this looked correct.  North of you however has 2-4″ potential with additional snow showers.

Gusty winds will accompany the snowfall for many areas as the surface low deepens over NYC to Long Island … expected low visibilities north of NYC in the heaviest snowfall areas.

Ice will be a problem for some in Northeast PA, Southeast NY, and into CT and parts of MA.  The map below covers your areas for our predicted ice accretion, the worst will be across Western CT.
