Tornado Watch With Haarp Status

Strong instability already noted across the watch area today will work with a boundary coming in out of Kansas by the 4pm hour, which should bring the development of thunderstorms at the MO/OK/KS border with an angle almost due north to south with a curve back into Northeast Oklahoma.

These supercells will be semi-discreet with good indications of higher shear in the mid-levels … so a linear event is not expected.  The semi-discreet supercell potential will work with a strengthening surface low across Central MO, which will bring in strong low level flow into them.  This will promote a moderate instability low shear environment.

Due to this, large hail is very likely with this storm as well as damaging winds … but because we do have higher instability regardless of the lower shear amounts … tornadoes will also be possible with the group of storms, centering Joplin to Springfield MO so chasing I-44 seems probable …

Boundary layer will be cooling later in the evening as the storms across Fort Leonard Wood, MO and thus the storms will no longer be able to support tornadoes, but will remain hailers and we will need to issue a severe thunderstorm watch east of this watch box if trends continue to remain …

The tail-end of a front that will move across MO, possibly bringing a chance of tornadoes with it, will move into Eastern Oklahoma later in the evening, sagging south-southeast with the later evening and weakening as it nears the AR/TX/OK border by midnight.  These storms will be capable of wind/hail threats … and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out either.

HaarpStatus Charts seemed to have predicted the event days ago and they will be continuing to predict in the future as the project has been returned to normal focus.
