Israel commemorates a very hard and emotional Memorial Day, followed by just as an emotional Independence Day.
It is hard for Israel to celebrate it’s 76th Independence Day amid the devastating war with Hamas, and over 100 Israeli citizens being held hostage, and a shameful betrayal from the leader of it’s greatest ally, and a propaganda onslaught from the Jew-hating Left. However, despite all of these challenges Israel will persevere and win.
Israel will continue to flourish long after Hamas, Hezbollah, the Mullah’s in Iran, the detestable Western-Left and the Biden Administration are gone. In the years ahead, Israel will be the home to the majority of the world’s Jewish population, it’s dynamic economy will continue to grow, it will put a space craft on the moon, it will establish full diplomatic relations with all of it’s Arab neighbors including Saudi Arabia, and it will continue to invent technology that benefits the world. It’s a day the nation imbues with a sense of awe and solemnity – even holiness – generally reserved for religious observances.
The bustling nation grinds to a halt when the siren pierces the air in the evening and again in the morning. People stand ramrod straight at rapt attention for two minutes of silent reflection, as if during a particularly reverential part of one of the Jewish prayer services.
