2012 - In the Final Analysis

The Mayan Long Count calendar which ends on December 21, 2012 has generated a world-wide phenomenon that is gathering a huge groundswell of attention with a full spectrum of speculation and predictions ranging end-of-the-world dire warnings and cataclysmic events to changes in consciousness levels and absolutely nothing happening.

In on the debate are scientists, representatives of religious orders, astrologers, soothsayers,   historians, archaeologists, quantum physicists and remnants of placard holders who have recycled themselves from the last end-of-the-world fiasco.

In some ways it is hard to understand why the 5 125 year Mayan calendar has caused such uproar. The Mayans themselves seemed to have vanished long before the end of their calendar and nowhere in anything they left behind is there a hint that the end of the calendar equates to the demise of the world.

However, alongside the predictions of a switch in magnetic poles, a collision with a huge asteroid or being crisped by the sun due to the alignment of the planets that only occurs every 100-million years or so, there is a growing body of scientists from quantum physicists across the professional spectrum that believe there are additional influences… hidden forces coming into play.

Recently James Wells who has been working with the Hadron Collider at Cern said there could be a ‘hidden world’ with particles and forces working all around us. Glimpses of this world include quarks which confound conventional thinking.

Not only can a Quark be in two places at the same time, it can be either a wave or a particle depending on what the observer expects to find in addition to being able to travel through two different holes at the same time. The quark, like all things in existence gives off a vibrational signal.

So far this is all hard facts. But suppose in that hidden world of Wells’ observers provide specifics to determine what the quark will be and therefore its vibrational signal in a way that influences how it becomes a specific building block of matter rather than a random one. Translated into a language we all understand….our thoughts could determine all that is physical around us…in fact the universe as we decide to imagine it.
