Living Your Dreams in 2012

I have recently left one of the most incredible locations in Europe, especially for a 2012′er that has toyed with the idea of off grid living. My esoteric research colleague, and soul-mate friend, Daniella and myself spent a couple of days with controversial author Mark Knight (Trinity of Wisdom) and his lovely partner Claire. They have taken the dream of living off the grid away from the rising NWO power structure and manifested it in the highest of expressions. Quite simply they are living the dream, after no small amount of hard work of course!

For those that have not read Mark’s books I recommend visiting his website WaykiWayi.com where he regularly publishes fascinating essays on the topic of his pressing concerns about global events. There are also links on his site to previous interview chats I have had with him for my own Earth4All podcast and to his books. Explore and enjoy his take on conspiracies, progressive ideas and spiritual consciousness exploration. His direct participation in a deep exploration of archetypes and energies via Gnosticism and the Kabbala are easily recognised in the quality of his truth filled uttering’s. Though he shies away from the title of teacher I can certainly say he is a student of life with a great deal worthy of sharing with a wide audience.

We met Mark in the small town of Torvizco, not too far from Orgiva, and followed him up some pretty hairy roads and then down a track into a wooded valley where we grabbed our kit and hopped in his 4×4. The 7km journey from there makes it very fair to say his place is very much away from main roads and population centres! As to the view as we bounced along the dirt track…spectacular… breathtaking… awe inspiring. Ranges of mountains, tranquil valleys, distant snow capped peaks and an abundance of fruit trees greeted us. The spot they have made home is very special, the energy hits you like a wave that refreshes one at the soul level.

Over the last couple of years our intrepid friends (soul family members) have progressed from a rucksack and a tent to an amazing set up. A walk around the site revealed that they have two yourts, one being for themselves and another for bookings by lucky visitors and another yourt under construction. There are two composting toilets in place, solar panels erected, a meditation tent, store sheds and then such things as a elemental and directional linked stone circle as well as a number of assigned areas specific to the working with the elemental energies. Crystals and especially placed stones also mark areas of energetic importance. The whole site has further been blessed and empowered by both Mark and a range of spiritual practitioners that have visited him. You can feel the high vibrational energies their in the air [wind, fire & water too].

Synchronicity my old friend had been at play in our visit. We had three Mancoon cats that we had been looking to give away due to travel plans, when we told Mark about this on the phone he had animatedly explained to me that for several days before he had been looking into Lynx cats and their energetic expression (Mancoon being half Lynx). He was delighted to find that the universe had so quickly manifested his desire and happily took them off our hands. It did not stop there either as whilst chatting with Claire she revealed her family actually live in the same small Cotswold village as my own family, we even know people in common. I can honestly say that all four off us felt like very old friends despite it being our first physical meeting in this incarnation.

Sadly we had arrived a little late in the day but Mark was gracious enough to still take us on a journey, one of the more mystical kind. In the mediatation tent we spent 15 minutes clearing our minds and then after that he guided us through an ephemeral landscape generated by our unconsciouss, later helping us to recognise symbolic messages we had for ourselves, this combined with Maya archetype work to give us a final message from the inner word. After the astral work we were treated to a fantastic organic vegetable meal with home made bread and after a great chat we then stoked up the fire in our yourt, before sleeping I stood watching the stars and was lucky enough to see a trio of meteorites.

In the morning we joined Mark and Claire for a session of a meditative form of Yoga that combines simple non-athletic movements with chanting or breath-work. The energy that this gives you to start your day is simply incredible. After that it was time for some porridge with high energy herbs for flavouring before I joined Mark and his two Siamese cats on a hike down the valley. It really felt like being ‘out there’ in the wilds. Of course you can’t put two chaps like Mark and I together without there being a long conversation on the state of the world, what we expect for 2012, metaphysics and general weirdness. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it!

I can’t recommend enough booking a visit to Mark & Claire’s off grid home, whether just to get away from things, learn off grid living skills, or to be provided with a plethora of self development techniques from a honest and knowledgeable man in a mind blowing setting!

Let me regress just a little to just before our visit to this consciousness progression centre.

Four nights prior I had a dream, as with most every night of my life I awoke remembering most of the details with a good degree of lucidity. Fortunately for me I have always had the gifts of experiencing powerful dreams regularly and remembering at least some elements from them on awaking. Some of my dreams are just the chatter of the day being sorted and processed, others are much more important and meaningful. The dreams to which I now refer is in that more special category of information from the unconscious to benefit the conscious. In this dream the most important segment, relevant here, concerns a stay in a communal abode on the top of a hill. Outside of the old house in which I was to stay there was a rustic looking church, and then between the building and some trees was a most fantastic view. I was looking out across a mountain valley, the craggy peak to my left was captivating, which the other to my right stood out due to a sizeable ruined house upon its slopes. As with many of my more powerful dreams I noted it mentally and then left it as possibly of significance as yet unknown.

Two days later, after teaching a final day of an English language course for Spanish students, I was party to a thank you lunch with the class members. After the class one of the students insisted I must go with him to see a place called ‘The Virgin of the Head’, several other students then strongly echoed his sentiment. Me being me I was soon in the car with my new buddy swerving up mountain roads to some unknown destination which life was pushing me towards. The trip provided some quite beautiful rugged landscape as we ascended some 1000 meters. Upon arrival I was greeted by a fairly small church on the crest of the small mountain. The story behind the spot is that in the 12^th century a shepherd saw a vision of the virgin Mary here and she told him there was a sacred relic buried beneath his feet. This transpired to be true, an ancient wooden statue of a black Mary holding the baby Jesus (some researchers state the black Mary is actually Isis) was indeed discovered upon digging. This is believed to have been buried during an invasion of the Moors several centuries earlier. Due to this miracle the site became an important place of pilgrimage for Christians, and continues to be so to this day. For me it at least made the site one of supernormal intrigue and special energies, I took the opportunity to light a prayer candle in the crypt for cleansing and positive energies.

It was the following day that we decided to visit Mark, which was actually going to be the last couple of days in Spain for us. I had not planned this previously but felt I must see him before leaving the country. It was only when Mark and I were sat talking after our hike that I realised that just off to my left was one mountain, and off to my right was another mountain slope but with a large ruined house on its side. I was in the landscape of my own dream from the night just a few days previous. Clearly I was exactly where I was meant to be at that moment, as shown to me in my precognitive dream. My peculiar year 2012 journey continues…
