'9/11 Buildings Rigged With Dynamite'
“There was only one way that could happen [on 9/11]– those buildings were rigged with dynamite to send them down and all the evidence was hauled away and destroyed so nobody could get their hands on it,” said Stephen Lendman, a writer and radio host, in an interview with Press TV.
Lendman also said, “But there was evidence gotten from WTC Building 7 that came down later in the afternoon. The BBC that day reported WTC 7 coming down 26 minutes before it happened. How about that! Do you smell something rotten in that account?”
On September 11, 2001, a series of coordinated attacks were carried out in the United States leaving almost 3,000 people dead.
Lendman further said that the idea behind the concerted attacks was to establish a new US hegemony.
“And of course what it was all about was an organization, an extremist neo con think tank called the Project for a New American Century. They published a report years before 9/11 and they basically said that America needs to reinforce its defenses; build up its military and institute a policy to ensure that America had unchallenged global hegemony. But this could not happen without a catalyzing event of the order of a second Pearl Harbor. Well, America got its second Pearl Harbor,” he pointed out.
During the incident, 19 reported al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners and crashed two of them into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, killing everyone on board and many others working in the buildings.
The hijackers crashed a third airliner into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington D.C.
The US, under the administration of former President George W. Bush, invaded Afghanistan in 2001 after claiming that the 9/11 attacks were carried out by members of al-Qaeda harbored by the then Taliban regime in Afghanistan.
The US also attacked Iraq in 2003 claiming that the Middle Eastern country was in possession of weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
However, it was later revealed that not only was not executed Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein in possession of WMDs but also that US and UK leaders knew about the non-existence of such weapons.www.presstv
