"I'm Not Your Yes Man/Woman"

Do you want the truth? Or something beautiful?

You’re a liar, cheater, thief, back stabbing friend, can’t
be trusted, and you’re guilty 99.999% of the time.  No matter what you do, you’re wrong.  No matter how hard you try, your best is
never good enough.  Sounds like an
abusive relationship, huh?  If your
friend was treated this way, your advice would be to leave, right?   Well what if this is not an “intimate”
relationship, but a “platonic” relationship? 

We’ve all had this friend. 
They’re always the victim, everyone is against them and you’re not a
true friend because you never seem to understand their point of view.  When talking with them you’re left feeling overwhelmed,
drained, frustrated, and sometimes used. 
They’re constantly complaining, bickering, asking you for help but never
come through for you.  You’re the one
they bounce everything off of and your ideas they take and present as their
own.  You’re their confident, extended
family, and the person who has their back. 
Sadly to say, when it’s your time to blessed, there’s always a family
emergency, problems at home, they’re too tired or don’t have the courtesy to
let you know they’re unable to make it, but you’re the one who’s not the
friend.

You’ve only shown yourself to be a true friend, yet the one
time you don’t agree with them, you’re accused of not being loyal, not having
their back and your motives are questioned. 
Once again this person is now the victim, and you’re out to get
them.  The truth is…   Some
people you have to let fall on their ass in order to see your worth.  You don’t have to argue, fight, nor go back
and forth with them.  It’s a sad but true
fact; most people want “Yes Men/Women”.  
They prefer you say “Yes, you’re doing a great job” when they’re headed
down a bad path opposed to saying “Hold Up, danger is ahead”.  So our advice to you is, when you’re faced
with this, speak your “Peace” and walk away. 
If the two of you walk in different directions, let it be.  The real truth is… You don’t owe them a damn
thing…. #ImNotYourYesMan/Woman”
