Hitch In Your Giddy Up

So you’ve had a
not so good year. Maybe you’ve had a not so good couple of years. Everything
that you thought should have happen by now hasn’t.   The
plans and goals you’ve set for yourself haven’t been met. It seems like every
time you stand up you get knocked back down.  Relationships are in turmoil. The job is
stressing you out. Finances are worth crying over they are so depleted. You
just want to crawl under the covers and never come out.

But instead of doing
that, you realized this is just your season to observe and grow. This is your
season to re-evaluate your life and figure out why things are not working.
Perhaps the plans you had were not the plans God may have had for you. So
during this time period you gain perspective and become motivated to get back
up and get back in the swing of things.

No more hiding
under the covers you’re ready to face your problems full steam ahead so that
you can move forward. Some how through this dry spell you were going through
you have found your way back and things are looking up. You’ve gotten your
Swagger back. You’ve gotten the momentum to make these not so good times work
for you in a positive way.

But wait a
minute…  What if I get knocked back
down? How do I continue going forward if I am hit with something else? How do I
continue to stay motivated? I don’t want to lose my momentum and go back to
those dark times. Maybe I should just stay down and not get up at all.

The Truth Is…
Every one has what they call in Western Movies a “Hitch In Your Giddy Up”. In
other words everyone gets thrown off kilter from time to time. Sometimes
getting back in the saddle can be hard because you’re not sure if you’re going
to get knocked back off again. Perhaps this time you may fall a bit harder then
you did the last time. But that’s life. That’s how it works, when you least expect
it you’re going to get knock on you’re……..  Well you know what I’m trying to say. It’s not
a maybe or a might, you are guaranteed to run into a problem or two or three or
a thousand in your life, but you can’t be afraid to live. You can’t be afraid
to get back up move forward. Staying down only allows you to get stepped on and
miss out some wonderful things that are ahead. Just like there are guarantees
that you will be knocked on your butt, it is guaranteed that you will have just
as many amazing experiences as well. 
Amazing experiences that should over shadow all the negative and bad
you’re going to encounter.  See that’s
the beautiful thing about life the unexpected curves and twist and turns. All
of these things teach you how to survive and keep going even when you’re down. Stop
worrying about falling, just make sure you get back up keep moving. 

Another saying
from Western movies is “Worry is like a rockin’ horse. It’s something to do
that don’t get nowhere”.
