You're A Control Freak!!

Has God ever told you to move, yet you stood still?  He told you it was time for you to leave, yet
you stayed?  He said “Let go”, yet you
held on?  Many of you can relate to this…  Maybe it was a relationship, job, church, or
friendship, whatever it was, God released you from it, but because you couldn’t
see the end result, you stayed right where you were… 

Your reason for staying could vary…  Some of you stayed because you didn’t want to
“go without”, be alone, nor go through the hassle of starting over.   But if you’re completely honest with not only
others, but yourself and God, you stayed because your faith wasn’t strong
enough. 

As humans, in some ways we’re all “Control Freaks”.  We want to know how things are going to turn
out, be in control of what happens, and want to avoid struggling and feeling a
little pain at all cost.   Faith doesn’t
work like that….   Faith is the substance of things “unseen” not “seen”.  Faith overrules control and positions us in a
place we have to believe and rely on God and His promises.  Looking at some of the greatest faith
characters in the bible like Moses, David, Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, the
Woman with the issue of blood, and so many others, none of them knew what was
going to happen, yet they moved in what they believed.    Even
though they couldn’t see the deliverance, healing, victory, rescue, they
believed God would do it because He said it.

The truth is…  Relinquishing
control, releases faith…  If God has told
you to move, MOVE…  Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I
have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  God clearly states His plans are not to “HARM”
you, so why are you afraid?  Let go of
the need to know how things are going to turn out…  Your dreams, desires, and goals are just a
fragment of what He has planned for you. 
Whatever you’ve imagined can’t even be compared to what He has for you…  Relinquish your control and allow your faith
to work…  #ControlFreaks
